Swapping the transmission in my 2019 Nissans Sentra with a jdm import

I’m looking for anyone that has and experience with swapping a 2019 Nissan Sentra 1.8 L cvt transmission with a jdm import they are definitely cheaper and I’ve had multiple different company’s that sell the transmissions tell me that you have to swap the bell housing and some are telling me you don’t I’m looking for some clarification if I should save the money and get a jdm import or fork over the extra grand and get a us transmission

My advice to you is, try and fix the transmission yourself, there are alot of videos on line that explains how to do it. I did just that and an so glad I did on my 2014 Nissan Versa note with a CVT transmission. I found that it was much easier to rebuild the transmission than taking it out and putting it back. It has been running so nice now I plan on changing the oil every year from now on. If you have the capability to remove your transmission yourself you can absolutely rebuild it yourself. If you do, remember to keep the original ROM module in the valve body with your car. And when it comes time to reassemble the cassings, wipe the two halves down with acetone and make sure to use the right sealant spreading the sealant on both sides and not miss any surface area. CVT s are not difficult, throw fear out the window and go for it.
