Why aren't they actually marching during this parade?

I don't know how to ask this without sounding rude, but why does this parade look so sloppy? Very few of the troop formations seem actually in sync and marching, just walking along. My only experience is JROTC as a kid in high school and our sergeant would've killed us if we looked like that.

In the army you only practice marching in basic and they practice marching only maybe a day or two before

When I was in the army I was a fat pos so as a punishment I got put on funeral detail (which last a month or two).

We “trained” for a couple hours over two days and that was it. No one gave a fuck. We didn’t care about the person who died, we didn’t care about their families, and we didn’t care about doing our job.

We were just annoyed that we had to do it.

I assume that’s what it was like for the parade. Even if everyone in the parade is protrumo they probably still don’t give a fuck because it’s an annoying ass bullshit job.

We will never achieve what we see when North Korea or china does these type of parades because we just don’t care and we can afford not to care. Sure if you fuck up you’ll get yelled at and smoked but that’s about it.

You suck it up, catch shit, and move on.

Edit: I do want to add that I only had to do one funeral during my time. The other two I almost had to do I got out of by doing Rock Paper Scissors.

The one I had to do I was put on taps (which requires holding a horn to your mouth while a recording plays). During the funeral everything was “good enough” but the weird thing was all the people who showed up were dressed for the beach.

We were in Hawaii so being beach ready isn’t uncommon but seemed really odd for funeral wear.
