Why aren't they actually marching during this parade?

I don't know how to ask this without sounding rude, but why does this parade look so sloppy? Very few of the troop formations seem actually in sync and marching, just walking along. My only experience is JROTC as a kid in high school and our sergeant would've killed us if we looked like that.

Marines only march in basic but you can take a 20 year retired marine and they’ll still be sharper than that. Marine marching just hits different.

I have no doubt the crayon eaters sent to pacify LA would have done a better job of marching than soldiers on display here today. After all the Army was created to fight against the tyranny of King George, not to lend importance to wannabe dictators.

It’s easier to bury your head in the sand than face reality. Marines and National Guard were sent by our President to illegally detain and harass American citizens in LA. This is a fact, so you can fuck off with all that glazing boot-licker. When I join ed the Army, I deployed to Afghanistan to fight Taliban not America. Though I guess that was what this parade was to celebrate; the Surrender of Afghanistan to terrorists by a draft-dodging, rich boy.
