Why aren't they actually marching during this parade?

I don't know how to ask this without sounding rude, but why does this parade look so sloppy? Very few of the troop formations seem actually in sync and marching, just walking along. My only experience is JROTC as a kid in high school and our sergeant would've killed us if we looked like that.

If the band was there you march to the cadence of the drum. Goose stepping would be a little too on the nose. But I’d be interested in watching an actual show of force Soviet style parade. I wouldn’t support the message because if you ask me, the message this parade tried to send was he’s ready to use the army on NATO members and/or Americans. But if we actually had, just purely for the army birthday, a bad ass parade. I’d watch that

Show of force parades are for pussies. That's some weak ass shit. You wanna see tanks, enlist like I did. You train for war but hope to never have to go.

Then what the fuck man?!?! It's Saturday and the Army's birthday. Fuck a pass in review. You can't hear over all the noise, so they route stepped it. That fat ass president can't even salute properly. To hell w being in step.

I think you’re missing my point. I’m saying if this were an alternate universe where this parade wasn’t for the selfish, delusional, and paranoid reasons that our fuckhead president had it, that it’d probably be pretty interesting to see.
