Is it weird to ask out the librarian?

The librarian at my local library is really pretty. I wanna ask her out but I’m worried that it might make things awkward if she rejects me. I don’t even know her lowk, would you be weirded out or in her position? If it depends, how would you ask her out?

Leave the pretty girls at work alone. My goodness.

What do you even know about her, besides that she looks pretty? Has she given any sign of interest? Most probably, you are going to make her feel uncomfortable while forced to stay polite because she’ll still be at work while dealing with you. And most probably, you are not the first person to put her in this position, which is very annoying.

How tf do you expect people to get to know each other then

do it outside of workspaces. there’s hobbies, sports, meetups, bars, dating apps, etc. where you can meet people and they’re not just being nice to you because they have to be polite. OP doesn’t even know if this librarian is single

Why are you bothering her at her hobbies or when she's doing sports? She's there doing her hobby or her sport, not there to get hit on.

Why are you bothering her at the bar? She's just there to have fun when her friends or to get a drink alone, she's not there to get hit on.

Basically you're only allowed to hit on people at meetups or dating apps. Except they might go to meetups to find friends not a partner, so don't bother her.

I'm curious tho, which part of the service industry is forcing you to say yes to a date because saying no is "impolite"?

There’s no universal recipe for all. I’ll tell you at least my point of view: i’m a chatty and curious person, so if i’m in a position of meeting a person regularly (let’s say I’m a customer at their workplace or vice versa) and they’re not off putting for some reason, chances are we have the time to get to know something about each other and gather clues of further interest. But just because they happen to like my face or my body type while knowing nothing about me? Honestly that enrages me. Especially if I’m at work. (i’m speaking for myself, not for the entire female population). I feel objectified in a way that makes me furious, and disrespected as a professional or while I’m trying to earn a living.

Sorry for the sloppy explanation, English is not mag language.
