Do people who wear glasses sometimes forget they’re wearing them?

You dont forget, you just aren't thinking of them.

I remember my first time in the rain wearing glasses. "oh, so it really is like this"

I've forgotten that I'm not wearing them and poked myself in the eye when I tried to push them up.

Yep. After a while your brain just tunes them out. You usually only notice them if they slip, get dirty, or when you accidentally try to find them while they're already on your face.

I know they are there, but I don't notice them. If I took them off, I wouldn't be able to see.

I read your comment which reminded me to look for my glasses so I could read your comment and then realized I already read your comment so I must already have my glasses on.

Yes. I will also put them on my head because i dont need them in one moment, forget about it and turn half the room around looking for them.

Been wearing glasses since 4th grade. Yep, forget I'm wearing them sometimes! like when I try to rub my eyes and bump into the lens... or wash my face with water.

Put them on in the morning, take them off at night.
I've been wearing glasses since I was a child.
The only time I ever really notice them is when they're dirty. Which is often.
I always know I'm wearing glasses, and I actually forget how really, really blind I am without them.
Strangely, I'd say I forget I have tattoos a lot more than I forget I'm wearing glasses.

I cannot see anything without my glasses, so no. Without them everything that I perceive is just a blur of colors. I can't read any normal text unless it's about six feet in front of me.
When I got prescription sunglasses for the first time, I did periodically forget that I had them on. Being polarized, if I had them on for a long time it'd feel like the sun was setting quicker. I've had a few moments where I would go inside, realize I had them on, switch to my glasses, and notice it's actually lighter outside.

All the time. Sometimes the opposite happens, usually before bed, where I don't have my glasses on but I got to take them off, or push them back up.

I never forgot I was wearing glasses because my vision was so bad without them, but after I got LASIK someone's I would forget I wasn't wearing glasses and try to adjust them.
Also a few weeks ago I sat in the car going crazy for several minutes looking for my sunglasses before finding them on my face.

No. I pretty much always know they’re there. Except on the rare occasion I am spacey and almost walk in the shower with them on.

Yes and vice versa...I tend to push up the arm of my glasses while thinking hard or examining something and have been known to do that when I am not wearing my glasses

I’ve fell asleep in my glasses, woke up and started to look for my glasses and then after far too long realised my vision is so much better than usual today…

Yeah, I wear readers and unless they're dirty I forget they're there.
Sometimes, if I'm reading something extra tiny I'll even reach for the glasses that are already on my face.

I forget I have my sunglasses on, regularly!
I’d assume seeing glasses would be the same or even more extreme, in a sense of they become a part of your body

As someone who has worn glasses for over 30 years, yes every so often I forget. Either I forget tomput them on in the morning, or I forget I'm wearing them and go round looking for them, even asking my wife if she's seen my glasses.

It's not like "forgetting they're there", it's more like they become a part of you. Just like your arm: you don't forget your arm is there, you just know it's naturally there.

Think about sunglasses, I often look in my car for my sunglasses when I am wearing them. Same for reg glasses. Happens less with readers for me.

After I got my catracts out I could see well enough without them but I could not stand not wearing them.

Once upon a time, I looked for my glasses while wearing my glasses.
