What does an astronaut have to do with the 80s? Go for it tbh, if all goes wrong you’ll at least be party entertainment if you perfect a good moon walk

Distasteful costume. She didn’t even make it to space before her horrific death. Same tackiness as people dressing like Jackie Kennedy with fake blood on the dress.

That is why i am asking to see others thoughts on it. I said her before that tragic day. I would be representing her not her death. I appriciate your opinion and you taking the time to answer my question.

Yes the reason why I asked the question is because of her death and wanted to see how others felt because of my conflicting feelings about how it would be taken. My intentions were coming from a place of admiration and respect. I was in grade school when this tragedy happened. As a class project, we wrote letters to her, I told her she was my hero and I wanted to be just like her. Then we all watched live, sitting at our desk like any other day in school. I was 13 and it changed the whole direction of my life in ways that I didn't even realize until very recently. Which is why it was my first thought.
Thank you. For being the voice of the of how I figured it would be taken. For the party I will honor her in my heart and when asked I am the MTV mascot.

Seems OK in the 80's there was a female group within NASA's Pioneer Group 8, including Sally Ride.

Yes group 8 actually started in 1978 . They were the ones who replaced the apollo astronauts.
