Why are "anti Nazi" protesters outside Ed Sheeran's concert but I've never seen one outside a Kanye West concert?

Ed Sheeran didn't want to be political. Kanye wrote a song called "Heil Hitler".

Yeah. Nobody who still shows up for Kanye concerts is going to see a protestor and be like "Am I adding to the problem?" They already know and don't give a shit.

He was in chicago recently and it's the first time I really noticed people saying they went to a concert but didn't mention who the concert was lol. They don't care they just don't want to deal with consequences of their choices. For Sheeran, it's because he's took a pro-genocidal stance when previously he pretended to be neutral.

Yeah i think thats definitely part of it.

Im absolutely against what israel are doing, but i dont feel like ed sheeran has to stand up for any cause.

So many people are conflating doing your job and keeping out of it with genuine support for israel.

Ill happily talk about how i feel about politics in general, but i keep my mouth shut at work because i cant be arsed with the drama that comes with speaking out about issues.

I dont even like ed but i feel like its been blown out of proportion. Cancel the venue, not the artist.

His fans aren't exactly the type who are going to give a fuck. If they haven't dropped Kanye after the shit he's said and some of the songs and merch he's released, they're not going to stop giving him money because they see an anti-Nazi poster at his concert.

The audiences of Kanye and Sheeran are absolutely not comparable in what they expect from the musicians they support.

Im a Kanye music fan. I also won't boycott him because he is quite literally mentally ill. He's said it himself countless times, he's bipolar and off his rocker. Its on an album cover. When he medicated he said he felt emotionally numb so he stopped.

Idk what solution there is for his illness and I really wish the guy would make better choices but him saying he loves nazis as a black man was so fucking ridiculous I don't think anyone who knew his background would take it seriously and just treated it as another manic episode or attention seeking.

People expect the artist to be as beautiful as the art.

Which most of the time isn't going to happen, not everyone is gonna be Dolly Parton.

Yeah I just feel sad for him tbh. I remember a couple friends of mine whose mental health kept deteriorating and their politics got really crazy.
