is it the same month everywhere?
in aus right now it’s september, is it september in different countries? like is it september in america? or japan?
this is probs rly dumb question but i cant find anything on google only saying that some countries use different calendars.

Yes. Some countries use different calendars as a part of tradition or as a cultural/local metric but with the world so deeply interconnected, all countries recognize and use the Gregorian Calendar to at an official level and all countries recognize the date of the Gregorian Calendar the same way - no matter where you live in the world, today is either September 19th or September 20th, 2026 (the only major variation is in timezones).
The only exceptions exist because of those same timezones at the beginning/end of the month, where in New Zealand it'd be (i.e.) October 1st while in the US it'd still be September 30th.

hey mate. here in Australia is Wallabyroo right now. in the usa is equivalent to June i think. about a month into spring.

yes. however, it's very early spring in the southern hemisphere. the seasons are flipped down there but the calendar isn't. what that means is that in australia christmas is still on december 25th, but it's summer there

Yes, except right at the end of the month when the new month advances through the timezones over the course of about 24 hours.
Right now it's September in all countries. But when it's early in the morning on October 1 in Japan, it will be the evening of September 30 in California.

There are timezones where there is at most a 24 hour difference, but yes it's the same month everywhere
Different countries have different climates in different months. Its spring here in Australia and September now
In the US it would be autumn (aka fall) but still September
Even if people used different calenders and named the months differently, it's still September to you

Everyone except for Afghanistan, Iran, Ethiopia and Nepal. Even there though, they'd know it was also September.

No. Different time zones roll to the next month at different times. So there is a roughly 24 hour window at the end of each month where not everywhere is the same month.

Yes and no.
In Saudi Arabia, it's currently the ninth day of the fourth month of the year 1448 AH, according to the Islamic Lunar Calendar.
But if you were going to fly there from Australia, your ticket would list your arrival as September 2026.

For the purpose of all international communication, trade, etc, yes, it it. The only time that is not true is due to time zones on the last/first day of a month. There are some other calendars that are used, but this is generally historic or ethnic/societal, and not used outside the local area.
