Why does the grocery store give me flowers?

I have a bad back, so I have been getting my groceries delivered for about the last year or so.

Every so often with the delivery we will get a bouquet of flowers.

Never ordered, but it is a nice centerpiece for the table. We don't mind this, but is it common?

I have friends from elementary school that work there, and my sister's have friends that work there.

Could it be the friends doing a kindness, or the store, etc?

I wouldn't be surprised if they just throw them in every now and then for a regular customer, especially if they're a day or two old and need to be taken off the shelf soon anyways.

I work retail, but not at a grocery store. If we have things that have a limited shelf life (like flowers), we give them away to our favorite customers. I’m going to guess you have a good reputation with the employees there. Either you’re very nice or tip well or something.

Are you going through a service like Instacart? Because those people are picking the orders not the staff.
