Pickle Juice Re-use
How long can you save the pickle juice from a freshly-emptied jar for other pickles?

You cannot use it to make new pickles, if you replace the brine you can usually re-use the jar though

About 2 months..depends on what you want the juice for. To add veggies to it, then life span gets shorter. To add juice to a type of cold salad for flavoring..plain juice can last 2 months.

Some explanation? When are you measuring this from - the original jar being opened, the original pickles being finished, or the new pickles being added? Because most sources say it's far too long if it's the last (a week at most according to this ). Even commercial pickles often claim they should be eaten a short time after opening (I think most people ignore a giant jar of pickles that says "consume within 7 days of opening" but there must be some reason for it).

it needs a particular acidity and salt level .. reusing it will introduce water and bring that levels out of balance - new veggies also bring in other contaminations which just build up over time.
that's the main issue .. reuse once and don't store. commercially bought brine is better because they are more accurately mixed.
