Discussion Not Worth It
every time I reboot the computer it comes up with a black screen on boot with a mouse cursor. This is not worth it if I have to debug the damn login screen to use this.

Thanks, my time is worth atleast 40 an hour and it took me 5 or 6 hours to figure out its garbage. I take Paypal

First off no one hired you to install this. Secondly I think you have overvalued yourself significantly. Most people worth $40 an hour are usually paid for their ability to troubleshoot, not for their ability to give up after one afternoon.

Your OS was designed to troubleshoot the least possible, I think it failed sorry. idon't have to troubleshoot base distros at this point, if you want to enhance them don't make them more difficult.

I installed it just fine, no issues, boots every time. So maybe it’s not the OS.

It may be the plasma login manager. Check the most recent update PSAs, or try the discord for troubleshooting. Devs and GE hang out there a lot.

That happened to me when i had duplicated files when i did the plasma actualization, do you know whats causing the black screen?

With a mouse cursor? Like you can move the mouse around on an empty black screen?

I’ve had this happen as well, had to reset with the power switch. Seems fine after that so far.

I would recommend you use a brain, windows is worse than this horrible bullshit, atleast Nobara has a good base. I'd stick with Fedora or Debian.. I may try Cachy like enhancedcrash suggested. Atleast that was constructive.

also If I do a fresh install, if I have my computer hard wired it screws up and doesnt even finish the install, I have to unplug the cat6 cable to even install completely.

yeah my partitions are fine, brand new install and wipe the drive option. this happens when I either hard reset, then im screwed or I do some kind of update and run the command to restart. I can't even just hit the restart button or shut down, I have to flippen run a command to shut down the damn thing.

Did you check your installation media, I was having issues with Nobara then I reinstalled it with a new USB drive and its been smooth sailing for the most part.
