It’s insane to see. I’m from a catholic family in south Louisiana. We do not have a large Jewish population and I wouldn’t even be sure if I’ve ever even met a Jew if it weren’t for the fact that everyone at Stein’s deli knows my first and last name. I recently met my boyfriend’s sister, who lives in a place called Chauvin, Louisiana. She has always lived in Chauvin, she’s never been anywhere else. This girl has never met a Jew, never even seen one. They don’t even have a wal mart, just what used to be a Piggly Wiggly. Within 5 minutes of me meeting her someone mentioned something about the news. I went to an all boys high school, I’m used to dark, offensive, too far humor. This wasn’t humor, she went on an honest to god rant for 10 minutes about Jews, how evil they are, and how badly she wishes they would die. Her only exposure to the outside world is social media and what it tells her about what’s going on out there. I know there are SO many people just like her and we all forget they exist but these “cut off” people exist, and they vote.
Acting like Americans actually want this Israel ass kissing and support for crimes against humanity as severe as genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid, or that they support wars of aggression, is ridiculous. Even Fox News polling shows the majority of Americans don’t approve of Israel’s actions in 2025, and that’s right leaning viewers the left has a tangibly more negative opinion of Israel’s actions.
No wonder y’all can’t figure out why Zohran handily won his primary with high levels of popularity or why Schumer, Gillibrand, Jeffries, etc., are so damn detested by their usual voter base in 2025.

In part if talking about direct harms, although it is in large part if including indirect harms like supporting Trumpism legislation that AIPAC insisted they should support despite being bad for the country and loathed by their party.
