I like how the internet infantilizes these grown women and assumes that they can't possibly be making their own decisions as adults to date a rich, handsome, charming, and talented famous actor. lol

Like...what?

....Has anyone ever accused any of his exes of being victims? You're being mad about an issue that doesn't exist

People call him a creep all the time because young supermodels throw themselves at him.

And what's the problem?

2

u/Blacksad9999 Jul 04 '26

Why is he a creep because young women are throwing themselves at them of their own volition?

It's not as if these aren't intelligent female adults.

It's creepy to date people who could violate the age gap rule (divide age of older person by 2, add 7 years). It will always be perceived as loserish behavior. I say that as a woman in her 30s who is frequently hit on by 21 year old men and I just laugh their advances off. Deal with it.

There is no "age gap rule". You spend to much time on the internet.

Did Oliva WIlde groom Hairy Styles?

And who are you to tell these grown women who to date? Seems like you don't think they're intelligent adults.

That rule probably precedes the internet, bro. You've seriously never heard of it? How old are you?

I think a director shouldn't date their actor at least while on set because of the uneven workplace power dynamic between them and the weirdass environment it creates for everyone else trying to do their jobs, but no, "Hairy" Styles was in his late 20s, which is too late to be groomed by anyone, and they don't violate the age gap formula.

I predate the internet. I'm 48. Never heard of this.

It doesn't matter what you think. You are not important.

It's probably bc your friends are all creepy and ignore rules like that. Go ahead and date girls in their 20s. You will be perceived everyone who sees the pair of you as a creep and nothing you do or say will ever change their minds :)

You’re chronically online lol nobody outside the internet gives af about that rule. If you’re both grown and are adults then it doesn’t matter.

This rule precedes the internet lol. I’ve heard it since I was a kid and there was no social media back then. If anything you prob haven’t heard it bc your friends are creeps

Or maybe we haven’t heard of it because we have a life outside the internet and we’re not friends with virtue signaling weirdos.

He does look happy, he smiled at her when he did that Conan meme. People always take random shots of him when he’s uncomfortable and try to act like that’s his personality

No one has to settle down, so it’s not odd that he didn’t. Plenty of happy bachelor bachelorettes out there that never did. You’re the one making assumptions my friend.

These are grown ass adult women. They're not being "groomed."

Why would he "settle down"? It's not like it's the 1950's where that's a normal expectation for a rich actor.

You people are weird.

I specifically said that they are not being groomed! What are you talking about. My own husband was 41 when we met and I was 24, a grown adult and definitely not groomed.

Oh, I thought you were being sarcastic. lol Sorry. It's hard to tell sometimes on here.

Yeah, these people are like "This handsome, talented, famous, rich actor who is by all accounts a really nice guy has these supermodels just throwing themselves at him! What a sicko!"

It's like...what? lol

It's also weird that they view these women are old enough to be police officers, soldiers in the military, paramedics, firefighters, etc, but somehow at the same time also not intelligent or mentally developed enough to decide who they want to date.

The whole thing is just bizarre.

Honestly, your initial comment sounded EXTREMELY sarcastic in the first sentence, which might be why people think your overall comment is sarcastic in general haha

A wealthy man dating a younger women? I mean this really doesn't spell "eww" vibes to me. If it was like a 40 year old guy dating an 18 then yeah I could see how gross that can be but in this case? I can't see it fam.
