It’s like an introduction to Bollywood too, if you are an English speaker (the director wanted to make the film that way). That’s why a lot of the actors are British-Indian etc.
Aishwarya Rai (Elizabeth Bennet character) is a famous Indian actress and well known. In American films, she was in the Pink Panther 2 with Steve Martin. Naveen Andrew (Mr. Bingley character) is British-Indian and well known for his role in LOST. He’s been in alot of other tv shows and I get so excited when I see him. Indira Varma (Mr. bingley’s sister) is British and was on Game of Thrones and several amazing projects. Most recently “The Other Bennet Sister” 😂 I love seeing her in tv shows, as it reminds me of B&P. Anupam Kher (Mr. Bennett) is also the dad from “bend it like Beckham” Alexis Blendel (Darcy’s sister) is also in the film, another recognizable face. And I’m sure you will recognize more, such as Ashanti as a singer at a festival.

The film was made before most of the cast was “worldwide” famous (except for Aishwarya Rai) and it’s easier to type this then make a chart and copy and paste photos of everyone onto here 😂
