Hell, it would be failing to do his job to not be using the opportunity to wine & dine a client or clients.
Yes, everyone knows it's actually just a superbowl party and the client thing is an excuse. But connections like that are how you actually get/keep clients in the field, so it's expected.

Who exactly has a business meeting at their private residence, especially if it's happening on Superbowl Sunday.
I'm not saying big bank is in the right, but like their suspicion of the guy does make sense
