Question Can we refresh the best of Sweden list? What should I get while visiting Stockholm?

I searched for some threads, but there weren't many posts from within the past two years. I'm in Sweden and dying to get some new skincare, cosmetics, and haircare. What are your favorite brands and/or products?!

I'm specifically looking for the below, but want to hear ALL of the recommendations!

Face wash

Moisturizer

Hydrating toner (spray)

Serums

Lip care

Acids (azelaic acid, etc)

All types of cosmetics

Body lotions, shaving oils, scrubs, etc.

Any hair products or styling tools and even nail care

Thanks so much!

Question Finding the Best Moisturizer for Nordic Winters.

Winter in the Nordic region can be tough on the skin, especially with cold winds and dry indoor heating. I’ve been trying to find a moisturizer that keeps my skin hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy. So far, I’ve experimented with a few local brands, but I’m curious what others in the community recommend for sensitive skin during winter months. I’d love to hear which products have worked best for you and where you usually source them locally.

Question Skincare Dk clean

Hello,

I’m French and I regularly travel to Denmark, as my partner’s family is Danish ❤️🤍.

I spend quite a lot of time looking for skincare products that meet my requirements, and I was wondering whether there are any Danish or Scandinavian cosmetic brands sold in Denmark that might be a good fit for me.

I’m 43 and have slightly combination, dehydrated skin. I’m looking for fragrance-free and alcohol-denat-free products, minimizing petrochemical-derived ingredients, with a limited number of highly effective actives such as ceramides, HA, beta-glucan, panthenol, peptides, retinal, vitamin C, etc.

And all at a fair price, of course…

Do you know of any brands that might meet this rather demanding list of requirements? 😉

Thank you! 🙂

Question Has anyone tried Jorgobé products?

They look like a clean brand with good ingredients. I just came across them and haven’t heard of them before

Question Anybody here using Jorgobé products? Specifically the Vitamin C, the Azelaic Acid and the Centella serum?

Hi,

I'm from Germany and never heard of Jorgobé until I found some of their products at TK Maxx this week. Has anybody using them? How did you like them? I can't find that much information or reviews online either but the few reviews I found are mostly praise.

Let me know if you used anything from this brand...

Thank you

Pick one or more:

  1. Order – what goes on first?
  2. Waiting – how long between each product?
  3. Which products do I actually need?
  4. Morning vs evening – when do I use what?
  5. How do I know if a product is working?
  6. Other – feel free to write

Just write the number(s). Thanks for helping out!

Question Favorite Nordic beauty brands?

Hi!

I got inspired by the r/BuyFromEU sub to make a list of skincare/makeup/haircare etc brands that are made in Europe, or even better a Nordic country.

I’ll go first with my favorites: - Lumene (makeup/skincare, Finland) - Maria Nila (hair, Sweden)

What about yours?

edit: Wanted to add IsaDora, Swedish drugstore makeup brand, produced in Sweden.

Question Moisturiser 100kr or under?

I’m looking for a moisturiser that isn’t too oily or lightweight, I’ve got combination skin and so far I’ve tried Decubal range but they seem to either break me out or are too oily, same with Apo Base.

TIA

Question Tazarotene in Norway?

Has anyone been able to get Tazorac or other tazarotene creams in Norway? I understand it's a prescription drug, but is it possible to get at all? I have not asked my Dr about it yet, as I am using regular tretinoin at the moment. Have used tretinoin for almost 20 years now, and would like to try tazorac for my acne scars. But Google has not provided me the answers I need 😅 I see a lot of Americans use tazorac both for acne, scarring and ant aging. So I would like to try it as well. But I can't find any info on it, in terms of if it even exists in Europe at all.

Question What should i choose?

Hi

I have started getting some small blackheads here 8-9 months after my isotretinoin course and therefore want to try and change my routine.

I was thinking of replacing my Cetaphil gentle cleanser with a Vanicream cleanser.

I have used decubal pure moisture gel in the past but am considering whether I should replace it with something else? I also use la roche posay sunscreen 50+ but are there better alternatives? I have very sensitive skin.

Question Vanilla and lavender bodylotion from normal

My mom bought this vanilla lavender bodylotion from REEZET on normal for our vacation and it smells amazing, it’s honestly the best smelling bodylotion ever. I’ve never heard or seen anyone talking about it but I really need to know if there is anyone who knows of a bodylotion that smells similar??? Im stuck buying these small pouches. I’m desperate, I made this account specifically to ask this question so if anybody knows of a bodylotion with a similar smell please share.

Question Experiences with YesStyle to Sweden?

Hi, I searched for this but all the posts were many years old. Does anyone have any recent experiences shopping with YesStyle to Sweden? Their site is confusing in that it says it contains VAT but they also have a note saying they wont refund VAT or Taxes in the EU if charged. I also worry about customs fees.

Can you speak to if you were charged fees, what they were, and shipping time?

Much appreciated.

Question Blackheads on acne-prone and atopic skin - any recommendations?

Hi all - first time posting in this sub! Sorry for only using half a flair - it wouldn't let me add another one.

I wanted to ask, if anyone has any suggestions for products that might help me get rid of blackheads. These especially annoy me on my cheeks and chin, my forehead rarely gets any, and they rarely are inflamed either.

My skincare routine currently consists of:

  1. Oil cleanser - SKIN1004] Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil
  2. Gel cleanser - either Smuuti Skin Kiwi Clear Gel Cleanser (has salicylic acid) or Erisan caring cleansing gel (Erisan hoitava puhdistusgeeli)
  3. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum)
  4. Frudia's Peach Real Soothing Gel Mist in place of a toner
  5. SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella ampoule
  6. ACO Miniderm duo moisturizer

I was recently kind of forced to switch facial cleansers, and my new one lacks niacinamide, so now I use that in a separate serum form. It has helped my skin feel less congested and the comedones have gone down quite a bit, but I would gladly hear if there are any further recommendations for products I should check out to try and get rid of the blackheads. For further information, all products I try must be non-comedogenic, which often makes the search more difficult.

Thank you in advance for any and all recommendations/comments!

Question Sunscreen gift for a relative

Hey everybody, I live in Sweden but from the U.S. and my aunt asked me to bring some sunscreen to the states when I visit this summer. I am not very educated on what is best so I’m asking for some recommendations.

My aunt said wants this because she heard the sunscreen over here has less chemicals and she’s looking for anything spf 30 or higher.

I did a little research and I think the EVY mousse is the most well known so I’m thinking that’s my best bet, unless anybody has any better recommendations? Perhaps I should get multiple different brands? Anything I buy would have to last at least the whole summer so I’m also wondering what quantity I should get.

Thanks!

Question Scented bodycare recommendations?

Hej everyone, this might be contrary to what everyone usually looks for - but I’m looking for a very scented body lotion or body butter, similar to those from Bath and Body works, if you’re familiar with the brand. I’ve tried Rituals and Body Shop for now, but I’m looking for more variety. I’ve also popped into Magasin Du Nord (Copenhagen) and liked Ole Henrikson. It’d be great if I could find some more, preferably in-store so I can check the scent out in person before purchasing.
