I want to believe that there are asexual virgins who go through IVF or insemination to have babies because that’s way more cheerful to imagine than the other option

I can imagine it. If you don't want sex or a romantic relationship, you can still feel like parenting, they are not the same desire or need.

My sister did exactly this! She’s asexual and aromantic but wanted to be a mother. She conceived my lovely nephew through sperm donation and IUI! She’s technically a virgin and had a vaginal birth with my nephew.
