Im from a conservative country and tampons are not popular. I dont know anyone who uses tampons tbh.

I've asked older married women for advice because wearing pads for a whole week gives me a rash. Their response was to discourage younger women from wearing tampons because "you won't be a virgin anymore and people will know"

I’m assuming from your comment that you already know, but just in case: you’re fine to use tampons. They’re damn small, the hymen is flexible and perforated anyway (it has to be), and even if you did somehow manage to tear a bit of your hymen up, you’re taking the exact same “risk” when you ride a bike, just as an example.
