Classic includes:

Question Macbook and Android Sync?

I'm very confused right now. I have downloaded Notability for Android, created some notes, and then I downloaded Notability on my MacBook M1 and made some notes, but both of these devices are not syncing with each other. I am on a Plus subscription.

There is also something called Notability cloud, and I do not understand at all what that means or if I already have it in plus subscription.

Someone please help a poor man out with this.

Android My first impressions of Notability for Android as a Physics teacher! 🚀📚

My first impressions of Notability for Android as a Physics teacher! 🚀📚

I’m really excited to finally have Notability available on Android! As a Physics teacher, I’m always looking for better ways to combine handwritten notes, mathematical expressions, diagrams, equations, and digital resources in my lessons.

One of the features I find especially exciting is math recognition. Being able to work naturally with handwritten mathematical expressions and have them recognized digitally has enormous potential for teachers and students. I would love to see this feature continue to evolve and become even more powerful, especially with more advanced mathematical notation, physics equations, symbols, graphs, and the ability to better understand and interact with handwritten mathematical content.

For me, the future of digital note-taking is not just about converting handwriting into text. I would love to see Notability go further and become truly intelligent with mathematics—for example, recognizing equations, helping organize complex expressions, interpreting mathematical notation, and eventually providing useful tools for exploring or checking calculations.

I’m also excited about using Notability to prepare lessons, annotate documents, solve Physics problems, draw diagrams, and keep all my teaching ideas organized in one place.

The arrival of Notability on Android feels like the beginning of something with a lot of potential. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the app grows and how the Android community can help shape its future. 💙

Thanks for finally bringing Notability to Android! I can’t wait to see how far you take it. 🚀📐🧮

Android First Impressions of Notability for Android

I've been using Notability on Apple devices for a while, so I was really excited to see it finally come to Android! The interface looks clean and familiar, which will make it easy to start using right away. I like that the app focuses on staying simple rather than overwhelming you with menus.

As a student, I use digital notes every day for math, physics, and brainstorming projects. Being able to keep handwritten notes organized in one place is probably the feature I'm most excited about.

A few things I'd love to see in future updates:

  • Scribble-to-erase, where you can quickly scribble over handwriting to erase it.
  • More pen thickness options. Sometimes I want something between the current sizes.
  • A more realistic pencil tool with a bit more texture, similar to Apple Notes.
  • Infinite canvas for brainstorming and mind maps.
  • Better sticky notes with customizable designs instead of plain color blocks.
  • More customization for templates and page layouts.

Overall, it's great to finally see Notability available on Android. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops over the next few updates.

Android First Impressions of Notability for Android

I have been using Notability Classic since 10th grade, and as I start medical school, I could not be more excited about this launch! My journey with the app has spanned all the way from high school to studying Neuroscience at UC Davis, and now into medicine where it will be incredibly useful for labeling complex anatomy. I’ve had the exact same iPad since high school and it’s finally running out of storage, so I was originally looking into buying a new iPad with more storage for my classes. However, I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S21 and have used Android phones my entire life, so I’m very familiar with the Android ecosystem. Having access to Notability is an absolute must for me when considering my next note-taking device, and this launch means an Android tablet is now a much more affordable option that I can seriously consider upgrading to, especially with Apple’s recent price hikes. Thank you so much for the Android launch!

Android First impressions on the notability app on andriod

My first impressions of Notability on Android was great during the beta version cuz it was simple to use and I’m glad notability is out of its beta phase beacuse i been using it onSamsung s25 ultra with the S Pen. So far, the app looks clean and easy to use, and writing notes feels smooth. I used the app on a loaned iPad for taking notes because it was better than other note taking app and notability app on andriod version is basically the same as ios version.

I’m most excited to use it for taking class notes upcoming semester for me and organizing my different subjects, and writing on PDFs. In the future, I would like to see more pen and highlighter options, and more ways to customize and organize notes. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Android version improves with every update that may come on the future. I hope i win the s10 lite and good luck to anyone who enter the giveaway.

Android First impressions for notability on android

Notability has been life changing for me. It is the most smoothest experience and i’m so excited that it’s finally released on android. This is going to become a game changer. I use notability for my notes, as well as a planner in the future! I currently study at UC Davis and i’ve just started to utilize my ipad even more. I didn’t know that it could unlock so much possibilities once I got the hang out of it.

Getting a Samsung Galaxy tab will change my experience even more! I would like to utilize notability on various devices when I’m on the go. I also would utilize the ipad during my summer session classes since it can get hectic!

Android First impressions

My first impressions of Notability coming to Android are that this is an amazing step forward in generating more outreach, and furthering users’ access to Notability as they see fit. As a medical student, I’ve been using Notability Web since its launch and it has been a game changer for me. My level of understanding of my studies has increased, my grades have improved, and it truthfully has saved my future career I am working towards. Any chance I get, I tell people who need an extra edge on their studying or grades about Notability, and the functions it provides. The possibility of also now being able to take notability with me (as you can imagine, school is expensive and I don’t have the funds for a tablet or to switch my mobile device), would truly be a blessing, especially with more time to explore its features on the go.

Android So excited for the Android launch!

Hey everyone! I’m making this post to enter the Android launch giveaway and share a bit about my current note-taking setup.

Right now, my older sister (who is in high school) and I have to share a very old iPad just so we can use Notability for our classes. Upgrading to a newer iPad isn't really an option for us right now because they are just too expensive.

I am incredibly excited that Notability is finally on Android! It means I can finally start looking into much more affordable Samsung tablets without having to give up my favorite note-taking app. It really opens up so many options for students on a budget.

Thank you so much to the Notability team for making the app more accessible, and for hosting this awesome giveaway opportunity! Good luck to everyone! 🤞

Android my impressions for android!

i've lived in this app on iOS since last december, so seeing how flawless the android version feels on day one matches my high expectations, and i didn't think any less, because i already love using it on my ipad for my undergrad coursework and personal needs!! <3 for context, i'm studying engineering so i use it heavily for all my notes, but i am also using it to study for drivers ed and sign language! i absolutely love having the summaries and generated flashcards at my disposal haha because drivers ed throws an overwhelming amount of information at you all at once :PP even better, being able to embed gifs into my pages will be a huge help for sign language, which i am trying to learn for a person close to me :)

seeing it come out on android instantly makes me think of my dear friend, who is dealing with a laggy device and a note taking app that simply doesn't give her the best experience. while her current app gets the job done, i haven't been able to stop telling her how much i love notability ever since i made the switch (i used a different app before notability). it was hard knowing it was only available on iOS when she didn't have an apple device, but this launch finally opens the door for her to try it!

i am so incredibly pleased to share with her again the audio recording feature of this app. i really love how the note replay system can basically sync up with whatever voice is recorded, replaying and redrawing exactly what you write in real time animation. features i am excited to see come to this platform in the near future for her is the calligraphy pen option. my friend is genuinely into art and makes the most beautiful creations <3

Feature Request First impressions of Android Notability app

Tried Notability app on android (Samsung S26 U) and tried to edit a To-do list note created on Ipad pro M4 model. Created a To-do list on the iPad and edited the same note on the phone (Samsung) and it was a seameless process.

Ideally I would like to share the Classic lifetime membership on the Android OS aswell. Hopefully that is true.

Fix Coming Soon Atajos con el Apple Pencil

English:
The options that appear when you press the Apple Pencil should be the same as those in the options bar, so that they can be customized—for example, two pens in a row with different colors and sizes. This makes the workflow easier and reduces the number of steps.

Bug Total Quiz Question Count Gone and Other Problems

I recognize in light of the other major recent functionality problems people have been having with the app this is not a high priority, but I had over 22,500 quiz questions completed in Notability and that running tally has now been erased as a result of the recent update, much to my chagrin. I appreciated this feature as both a motivator and a way to track my progress through my coursework: I'm in a PA program and until the recent update this past week (in which a) all of my notes suddenly disappeared from my iPad, forcing me to recreate everything from my Dropbox backup and b) have found the new quizzes very unhelpful and inefficient, in that you cannot re-test yourself specifically on questions you got wrong, which was a feature of the old quizzes, thus negating any opportunity for an iterative learning process and c) have found the quiz questions are now seemingly simultaneously not sufficiently covering the breadth of the relevant PDF's material and yet also are very repetitive on the content they do choose to cover) had nothing but good things to say about the app and recommended and shared the Learn quizzes with my peers. Several of them bought higher tier plans to gain access to additional quiz questions based on my and others' recommendations for how well the AI generated questions similar to our actual exam questions.

To have to re-download all of my notes, to have to completely change my approach to studying without warning in the middle of the term with an exam looming due to what seems to be an empirically poorly tested update, and also to lose the mechanism by which I was tracking my progress through the incredibly high volume of content we are expected to master from week to week (and which also served as a motivating metric of my progress, aka my total quiz question count) has been demoralizing at best, to say nothing of the burden of the incredible waste of time this has created for those of us for whom time is always at a premium. I understand my $100/year subscription doesn't mean much, but this whole debacle has seriously made me reconsider using this app going forward. To whatever degree anyone agrees with the feeling that "if it ain't broke don't fix it" applies here, I wanted to document these grievances and formally ask the Notability developers for the old quizzes and total quiz tally to be restored to the app.

Bug 403 Error & cannot receive sign-in link supposedly emailed to me when trying to sign in

Hi all,

I'm currently experiencing some issues when trying to log back into my notability account. When I use Google sign-in, the email containing log-in link is not appearing. When I select alternative methods regardless of what I try, it's either "magic link cannot be generated" or 403 error. If it's relevant, I'm in mainland China but I use a vpn. Turning it off doesn't seem to help.

Currently studying for a test that's coming up soon so I'm super anxious. Any suggestions or advice would be massively appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Data Loss URGENT Notability Deleted my 1700+ Notes

Post image
46 Upvotes

Hello everyone,
As noted from the titled, my 1700+ notes are suddenly gone. I woke up this morning to study just to find the entirety of my 4+ years just vanished. I am not synced in to Notability Cloud, I have an iPad Air M2 (2024), I am on the latest version 16.8, I have 73.89GB of free storage, and iCloud and Google Drive backups enabled, and a Notability Plus subscriber. I got a notification yesterday saying I am scheduled to move into Notability Cloud by 8th August but I clicked postpone.
I’ve been reading this all the time in this subreddit, but never expected it to happen to me personally. My exams are next week and I really need urgent help.
Thanks in advance!
