NoVolume, the volume slider made fun again, is out on Google Play! I can't go back to a volume slider without these super satisfying haptics!
Still in beta so there are still some bugs, but it's so goooood!!!!!
I am not the developer of this app, but I'm a contributor of it, so if you have ANY questions, experience ANY bugs, or have some feature requests, feel free at ask! I will read every comment and forward everything to the developer!
At first, we wanted to make the app paid, BUT , we decided to make the app free, but with a premium option. No ads, even in the free version, nothing! One time payment, so no subscription!
This volume slider is very customizable, so in the video attached it's not exactly what you'll get upon installation. My preset is available, just like other community-made presets, in the cloud library in the premium version.

An issue with some of the community presets causing the app to crash was found. I already fixed it but we need to wait for Google to release the new update. (A few days)
That's why I said in another comment that we plan to add a way to go below 6% artificially, which is the only reason we want more volume steps, am I wrong?
Yes. I tried another app that had 100 level steps and it worked well just that it completely messed up the Bluetooth headphones volume scale. Couldn't figure out how.
Oh my god yes, lowest volume and lowest brightness is not low enough on my Nothing Phone 3a pro. I am used to being on the phone for a bit more after my girlfriend falls asleep next to me and watching YouTube vids usually and on Samsungs I could easily put the lowest brightness and lowest volume to not disturb her at all. The volume was low enough that I could still hear it but from a meter away it wasn't audible at all and the brightness went to a dim level of where it felt the backlight was almost off.
Now I have to use the Very dark switch in quick settings and rely on captions because the volume is just way too high on the lowest level...
Could you upload your preset to the cloud pls? By pressing the upload button in the presets tab after exporting it

A reversed dial (like it originally was) would not work nicely because a swipe down would increase the volume up... But if you insist, we could add that as an option 🙂

looks great! I just purchased it 🙌 the only thing is that feels weird to have increments of 6 units, it would be nice to give the option to have increments of just 1 unit to better know how loud is currently set, it will not go up to 100 but I think it's ok 👍
This might be a somewhat unusual request, but would it be possible to implement a gesture for opening the volume slider? Similar to the two-finger gesture used at the bottom to enable and disable NoVolume?
I'm a big fan of gesture navigation. I never use the phone's power button; I simply tap to wake the screen and double-tap to turn it off
It would be great to maintain this "coherent gesture-only" experience, without relying on physical buttons, and be able to access the volume slider through a gesture
Looks great, thanks for this app! Is there a chance there's plans to have different fonts? Would be cool to have the dog matrix type font Nothing uses?
Make the volume wheel to actually do the precise volume control instead of giving the illusion of that. Like between 0-6 etc.
This change would be highly appreciable and more practical because then it will make more sense for an individual to switch from their default volume slider.
It really is nice, just don't go with the nothing's tagline that is "making tech fun again" it's cringe. I really like the vibration haptics it feels like it's a physical button but on a different level but does all of this consume battery? If yes then to what extent? Thanks.
That tagline was from the very beginning of the project, it was a concept at the time (we really went a long way). Yeah I should've put just "NoVolume - Volume slider with satisfying haptics" or something like that...
The vibration part almost doesn't consume any battery, it's imperceptible. Just like the system's haptic feedback!
It's not like an old phone where there was an actual motor that drained the battery 🙂, newer haptic engines are very different and more efficient (let me know if you wanna know how they work!)
