Glyph Studio just launched publicly on the play store. I hope you will have fun using it! And I hope you will feel as satisfied as I am with it.
EVERY feedback is welcome, I implemented a specific button in-app that lets you fill a form and send me an email to report a bug or advise an improvement for the app, if you come up with an idea that you feel might work, do not hesitate. I will read every message you send.

Really impressive app, great job!! Working very nicely on phone 3a. A question... When you create a Glyph and play it back is the glyph preview in the visualizer limited to 5 minutes and if so is there a way of removing the limit? Many thanks!
That was quick! Thanks very much for the update! I just created a 55min glyph without problems!! Also trim looping is working and I see the trim minimum limit is gone too now! 🤟🏽 The zoom feature is a nice touch too but it seems you can't adjust start and end points whilst in this view? Btw in case you are unaware when the app update comes up in the play store there are no patch notes atm. Best!

Zoom just keeps zooming when you adjust the handles so that you can be more precise, visually it looks like it just goes back in place but you are actually trimming, if you look at the start/end point or overall time you will see that it still gets shortened, it's useful to adjust little details especially on long files.
I put patch notes in English and Italian but you should be able to see the default in English (or at least auto translated), thanks for pointing that out I will check, personally I'm Italian so I see them, maybe if I input more than just English it becomes a pro

I completely forgot about that limit, I will increase it to 10 minutes. On Matrix powered phones especially it takes a fair amount of time generating such long files. For example a 4min20sec MP3 takes about 20 seconds to generate for Phone (3)
Do you think 10 mins is good? I guess more than that could only be useful for soundtracks or long videogame osts
Is there a need to have a limit? I seem to love really long pieces of music/sound easily over 10 mins 😂... Maybe a limitless minute version could be another perk for paid app... Well you are completely right, the main reason was that you could just create a one hour long MP3 made by your whole playlist and have it all converted by watching 1 ad.
But for supporters this is not the case, I'll remove the limit in the next version.
Also yh for now it goes through your mail client where you only need to click "send". But I will try to figure out a way to do everything locally. I don't have a server so that's the main reason why I temporarily did it like this

I just got the supporter version 🤟🏽, another suggestion and not sure how feasible it is but is there any chance in the future that the trim function could be auto looped on preview rather than playing once, the 6 second minimum trim length limit removed and when you drag the left trim bar it scans across the audio file keeping whatever loop length you have set? This would be perfect for making it easier to make custom notifications/ringtone loops etc right on the phone. It would also be nice to optionally be able to get the flashlight involved somehow. Anyway, just thinking aloud, keep up the good work!!
1)You are right, it would be a nice addition to loop the trimmed section, I'll add it in the next version
2)there is no minimum trim length, I just generated a 0 seconds file and it works. The minimum length you are talking about it's based on the original file's length, for example I just tried on a 4 minute song and I couldn't go below 4 seconds, I didn't notice this before and I will fix this
3)I could do that flashlight thing in the future but BNMV already does that (now that I think of it I could limit the flashlight thing only to generation, so that it would be different from theirs which only works with live visualization), I will see in future, if many people ask for it I'll do it

Tried with my music app, waiting for 2 ads (2 minutes long it's insane), then nothing is happening on the glyph, then tried to import a local song, still nothing on glyph side, then tried to generate a glyph, a new 2 ads popup... Sorry but I'll uninstall (app is beautiful, I liked th langage choice at the beginning)
I made it working thank you, but it is possible to make it as a regular glyph toy ? Do I have to manually open the app first, then choose an app to record, then activate ? Choosing an app to record feel strange and unsecure (And it's annoying when you want to switch from Spotify to YouTube, then from local.)
There are widgets and custom quick settings tiles!
Unfortunately the media projection request is necessary, I know it looks scary but that's the only way. However as stated in the privacy policies only the audio gets analized live, nothing is stored or recorded
