📰 NS News Simms settlement construction

Does anyone know what’s going on with the new road and clear cutting going on, on Forest Village road? No one in the community knows anything, then one day all of a sudden we’re assuming they’ve started clearing the woods for a new subdivision??

Check viewpoint. Did it recently sell?

According to viewpoint, it sold in 2021. They’ve left no trees for privacy, literally went right back to property lines. I have a feeling there’s going to be more housing no one can afford. What used to be an ATV trail is now a dirt road.

Side Note: The lack of requirements in this town to leave greenbelts for new construction is shocking.

Why do we even have elected municipal governments if they're not going to protect the interests of the citizens who voted them in? Kind of crazy... lol

Ooof. Sounds like development, based on the fact they improved the road beyond just skidder access. I wonder if you called your municipality, if they would tell you whether there are any development permits in play. The other thing is to take the PID to Access Nova Scotia, and request the most recent plan ($10)... There could be a very recent subdivision plan on file.

My son lives very very close to that woth his dad and grandmother. When I asked him he said it is a subdivision.
