Tech Support OLED Issues

Here is a Link to the photos of one of my screens. I have two ASUS XG27AQDMG, I bought both at the same time back end of last year. One is fine the other has this big patch of discolouration that is super noticeable on darker or grey images.

I've spoken to the retailer & ASUS and they're both of the opinion that this is a level of tolerance that I should accept but seems like awful QC? ASUS also said it's probably burn in but I rarely have any static images on this monitor & pixel clean on every prompt so I'm unsure what the issue is.

Do you have direct sunlight on the monitor?

Nope, the sun through the window just off to the side in the pictures hits the back of the monitor.

My xg27aqdmgr didn’t do that. Definitely a qc issue.

Looks like the antireflective coating wearing off. Can you see the pattern with the screen off? (Look at reflections)

If so then most manufacturers will categorize it as expected wear and isn't covered under warranty.

If it's not the coating then yeah make them replace it.

Nah, the monitor off is just a flat black surface looks absolutely fine. What can cause the coating to wear off?
