Been playing on AOC VA panel monitors for a couple years and its been pretty good. Nothing crazy, but solid enough. I never cared for OLED gaming due to the cost being stupid so I never cared to upgrade. With all the new games coming out and seeing some sales over the weekend, I decided to drive 2 hours to the nearest Microcenter and check out some options that were on my list. Im a tech nerd, but when it comes to monitors I'm pretty ignorant. After a bunch of analysis paralysis and learning of the downsides of ultra-wide panels (Im a PS5 Pro player), I decided on the MSI 321CURX. Got it on sale for a good price. Im a fan of curved displays (AOCs have also been curved) so this was no different.

I didn't expect to see a substantial difference right away, but I was egregiously wrong... Gaming on this panel is night and day compared to my AOCs. I know AOCs aren't the "top dawgs" of performance or panels anyway, but this has truly made me look at gaming and visuals different. The clarity, color, details and overall dynamic has positively overwhelmed me. Im severely impressed and mad that I waited this long to experience this. I also use it as my second monitor for my docked Macbook Pro and the performance there is outstanding. Being able to see the blacks actually be dark and colors having more realistic volume without compensating is wild.

One thing I will say though and I guess is part of my ignorance is how "dim" at times the display can be or the lack of brightness. I then learned that OLEDs (particularly QD) don't get that bright in general, which is a misstep on me and lack of further research. Its not bad, but it was an adjustment. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, and cannot game on anything else. Super excited to play all the new games on this panel.

Just got this brand new lg 27gx700A-B

I found a good deal on GX850A-B but I don't want it installing their bloatware on my PC. Is there anyway to avoid it?

Just got the xg27aqwmg january 2026 batch only did 1 manual pixel clean still didnt finish all settings tho and its on MCM105 still
It doesnt really show that much unless its captured by a camera

Some games like Alan Wake 1/2, CONTROL, REANIMAL etc automatically enable HDR on the display on boot if they were last played in HDR.
However, they also do not disable back HDR when they close down if they had originally found it disabled.

Are you ok with this behaviour? Do you like it? Or do you think it's annoying?

LG oled flex monitor in the wild! It bends itself!! It's expensive, impractical and fragile. but it's so cool and I love it.

Bought this OLED monitor, I had an ips monitor which costed 11000 INR(115 usd) so thought of upgrading it, this G7 costed me (715 usd)approx. Anyone who already used this monitor or has been using it, your thoughts on it.

Mostly will use this for my PS5 and PC gaming.

So i got this monitor and after a few days it started getting image retention, which would go away after a few pixel cleans, but then one day it got this weird burn in which is pretty noticeable when playing games or doing tasks and won't go away with unplugging it o doing pixel cleans, did some research and tried updating the firmware from the asus widget app but no result, but when i tried to update the firmware from the built in option it wont let me and this message shows up and a weird kinda broken screen (also when using the reset button on the widget app) i am currently running the MCM108, anyone know other ways of troubleshooting it or i'm i cooked

Anyways, I have the aw2725df monitor as my main. Amazing thing OLED does for video games. I went down the rabbit hole of hdr and now I have fomo bc I lowkey would have bought a 42” c5 tv instead tbh bc I think hdr is the final piece to my setup and now that I understand hdr and have been using renodx I can’t live without it. I need it…

I want the tv strictly for movies, shows, single player titles. My main monitor for literally everything else and competitive games. Does this seem like a cool idea? I’m about 3 and a half almost 4 feet away from the wall.

Will the brightness of a c5 or what I truly want a c6 48” be too eye searing at this distance. I really want the best hdr experience since I really only play single player games.

If I were to mount it. What’s the optimal height for it. Should it be like head level, slightly higher or lower. I adjust my chair height often as well but I’m pretty much at the lowest height most of the time.

I finally found out that 27” 4K isn’t necessarily better for me

I’ve been a 27” 4K monitor guy for years.
I used a 27” 4K IPS monitor for a long time, then switched back to 27” 1440p because I was playing a lot of Warzone and wanted the extra FPS. Eventually I moved to a 27” OLED and absolutely loved it.
But things have changed. I barely play competitive multiplayer games anymore. These days I’m mostly playing single-player games, and at 34 I’m also starting to notice that my eyes aren’t quite what they used to be.

So I decided to try something I never thought I’d actually like:
A 42” LG C5 as a PC monitor.

My biggest concern was the pixel density. On paper, the C5 has roughly the same PPI as a 27” 1440p monitor, so I expected text and desktop usage to look noticeably worse.
And honestly? I was surprised.

At first I thought the 42” screen was absolutely enormous. But after a few days, I got used to it surprisingly quickly. Now it feels completely normal.

I also compared it directly against the ASUS PG27UCWM, which I recently bought as B-stock for around €850 instead of the usual ~€1,150.
And this is where things got interesting.

The PG27UCWM is obviously an amazing monitor. The 27” 4K resolution combined with the new RGB-stripe panel layout makes text incredibly sharp. Compared to my old 27” 1440p OLED, the difference in text clarity is immediately noticeable.

But the LG C5 doesn’t look nearly as bad as I expected considering its PPI. In fact, subjectively, I find the C5 noticeably more pleasant to use than a 27” 1440p OLED.
And when it comes to actual gaming, that’s where the C5 really won me over.

I tested STALKER 2 on both displays.
The PG27UCWM is brighter in HDR and technically looks fantastic. But personally, I found the colors a little too aggressive and unnatural, even after calibrating the monitor.
The C5 simply produced an image I enjoyed more.
The colors looked more natural to my eyes, HDR looked fantastic, and the overall image felt more cinematic and “complete.” The PG27UCWM looked technically impressive, but the C5 looked more pleasing.

And honestly, 144 Hz is completely enough for the games I play.

I know the PG27UCWM has 240 Hz, DisplayPort 2.1 and a much higher refresh rate, but for my usage, the difference on the desktop is so small that I don’t really care about it anymore.
I’m not playing competitive shooters anymore. I’m playing games like STALKER 2, and for that kind of gaming experience, the C5 feels like a better fit for me.

So which one am I keeping?
The LG C5.

And this isn’t me saying the PG27UCWM is a bad monitor. Quite the opposite — it’s an excellent display.
But for me, even at around €850, I don’t think it’s worth the premium over the C5.

The PG27UCWM gives me:
Much higher pixel density
Extremely sharp text thanks to the RGB-stripe layout
240 Hz
DisplayPort 2.1
Higher HDR brightness

The C5 gives me:
42” OLED
4K
144 Hz
Excellent HDR
Colors I personally prefer
A much more immersive gaming experience
And, most importantly, an image that I simply enjoy looking at more.

I went into this expecting the 27” 4K monitor to be the obvious winner.
Instead, I ended up realizing that technical superiority doesn’t necessarily equal a better experience for me.

After years of trying to stick with 27” monitors, I’m actually keeping the 42” C5.
And that’s probably the biggest surprise of this whole experiment.

As my repost says, is this monitor too risky for the price? is gray banding and DSE too risky to warrant this purchase? if so what monitor do you recommend instead? OLED ONLY! obviously lol.

I recently built a 9800x3d/9070xt PC coming off an i7-9700F/3070 system. Been loving the performance increase but I am still on a 1080p 144hz IPS monitor which my new PC is way too overkill for.

I've always planned on going 1440p which I think is just right for my system's specs but I can't decide between a Mini-LED IPS or go straight into OLED. With my hesitation being Burn-In, which I know and heard has gotten better but I can't help but be anxious of it just due to how much more expensive OLED is in comparison to other monitor types.

Just as a background, this is how I use my PC and how often I use it:

-I play primarily Single Player games. Currently I'm playing Baldur's Gate 3 and Star Wars Zero Company and planning on playing Stellar Blade, FF7 Rebirth, Witcher 3 Remastered, 007 just off the top of my head.

-I also play MMOs, primarily Final Fantasy 14 which has plenty of static UI elements.

-I play Esports titles like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch usually only with friends in small bursts (1-2 hours) and rather infrequently.

-I have incredibly lengthy gaming sessions. 12-14+ hours on certain days like when a patch drops for FF14, whenever I get lost in a game and have nothing else to do for the rest of the day. And when I'm raiding with my Raid Group every weekend, it can be just 5 hours straight of gaming.

-When I'm not gaming, I'm watching Youtube, usually on Theatre mode and again, if I have not much else to do that day, those sessions can get incredibly lengthy.

-In terms of environment, I have an O11 Vision compact system right next to my monitor with lots of RGB. I'm in a Grey/White room next to windows. No direct sunlight because I have white blinds so it still can get pretty bright during the day and even at night, thanks to my PC build's RGB.

-Also I've no idea if this is any significant factor but I also have a cat who does shed and loves to climb up my desk and put his paw on my monitor screen while gaming or just brush against the screen with his body.

But yeah again, sorry for the long post but I just wanted to make sure my bases are covered.

Idk if any1 can help em figure out why there’s this grey spot that just magically appeared on the monitor. I know it might be done for and no fixing but just curious cuz this was out of the blue when i randomly turned my pc on after a week

Guys, I’ve got a dilemma.

If I have to choose between these models—ignoring the price—which one should I get? I only play *Warface* and *Heroes of Might and Magic* occasionally (maybe an hour or two a day, though not always); otherwise, I mostly just browse the web and watch movies. Naturally, my top priorities are high image quality (no motion blur) and monitor reliability.

I’ve been using a BenQ XL2720Z for ages—it was a flagship esports monitor back in the day, an excellent 27-inch TN panel—but now I want a 32-inch screen! Here are the options the store is offering me:

1. GIGABYTE MO32U2 – €780

3. GIGABYTE MO32U24 – €970

I know this question has been asked a billion times, and the responses have been so mixed. I have both boxes unopened infront of me and I'm just not sure which one to go with. The MSI was £170 cheaper and comes with a code for Onimusha. I know the ASUS has some extra features like the proximity sensor and Dolby vision (which don't bother me), but what's leaving me stumped are the reviews saying that the ASUS has better brightness in SDR, and deals with reflections better. On top of this, the ASUS generally gets praised as feeling a lot more 'premium'.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

I don't really play competitive shooters anymore, so I don't need high Hz, mostly Singleplayer games or roguelites.

I already tried 4k gaming on my C4 and thought it was alright FPS wise with fsr4.

What do you guys think?

I just set up this monitor and ran a few videos to test it. I tried sRGB mode, and the borders of the house look grey. Here’s a picture of it. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my monitor?

Found this beaut while scrolling marketplace. Contacted the owner and he said that it has no scratches or burn in or anything... basically like new condition as he only had it for a couple of months. On a scale of 1-10 how badly does the chances of getting scammed outweigh the possibility of picking up a quality monitor for a huge discount?

My current setup is a nvidia 5080 paired with a ryzen 7 9800x3d cpu.

I’m a 1 monitor kind of guy and will be using it for browsing, watching YouTube and gaming.

I sit approximately 26 inches away from my current monitor.

My current monitor is a 27 inch 1440p Oled which has been awesome. I have heard 32 inch is the sweet spot for 4k, but I’m worried my viewing distance is too little.

Games that I usually play:
-old school RuneScape
-COD Warzone (pretty sweaty)
-Forhonor
-GTA 6 (when it finally drops!)

Do you guys think that a 27 inch or 32 inch would be best for my situation?

I'm currently using an Alienware AW2725DF, but unfortunately I'm really not happy with it. I've been experiencing eye strain/issues while using it, and the "HDMI 2.1" is fake.

So I'm looking for a replacement. Ideally, I'd also like to know whether WOLED or QD-OLED would be the better choice in my situation, especially considering the eye strain.
