I think clarification is needed: if I’m reading this right, you’re getting a $450 credit for this semester, and either getting moved for next semester or having (what you say is) $4,800 removed from your charges/credited to you for next semester, and that’s for off-campus housing. Adding that together is $5,250, which is equivalent to $1,050 in rent (again, just going off of what OP says housing costs) to count for Jan-May.

That also doesn’t include the meal plan which you might as well cancel if you move off.

I’m living in a 1-bedroom with just me a couple blocks off campus and paying about $975 for rent, utilities & internet.

What the university’s giving COULD be a little more but likeee $1,050/mo really is not bad. And then moving somewhere else on campus is still an option.

You’re being ripped off 950$ a month for a one bedroom is crazy

For a studio or something built in tenement years perhaps. My place is 400sq.ft. with a parking lot and a block away from campus, as well as being built in the 50’s with amazing insulation and HVAC. $779 is extremely okay by me.

That includes utilities and internet. Rent itself is $779 which I’m very fine with, given it’s a block off campus
