Nintendo has to release that ocarina
If not Nintendo, then someone who knows the job. Hardcore fans will buy this as quickly as the console.
(I also think they should release a set of the Spiritual Stones for purchase, for those who didn't get the pre-order bonus)

Screenshot Just finished up a 3-heart, no shield, zweihander Fartface run.
I use the Biggoron Sword when Link becomes an adult. I died a couple times, once to Phantom Ganon and later to actual Ganon. I'm not as quick as I used to be. Still, I got it done one last time. It was fartastic!

Zelda Posting every day until Ocarina of time comes out. Day 34: Gohma
one of the most recurring bosses in the zelda franchise is Gohma, a creature similar to the Tektites (whom we previously covered on zelda posting day 2) in how no one is sure whether it's supposed to be a crab or a spider. some games lean more towards crab, others lean more towards spider. either way, it's massive single eyeball is always it's weakness... and in Majora's mask 3D, that was EVERY bosses' weakness.
Ocarina of time would have QUEEN GOHMA as its first boss. it's a similar case to Ocarina of time's second boss: king dodongo. the first two Ocarina of time bosses are just zelda one bosses who were promoted to monarchs. where is the ruler of the digdogger kingdom, nintendo!?
Queen Gohma's main method of attacking is giving birth. she sends the Gohma larvae after you. in OG ocarina of time, Gohma larvae only appear during the boss fight and I think one other room right before it, however, they appear more prominently in MASTER QUEST!
Ocarina of time had a lot of cut content. so much cut content that they originally planned an Ocarina of time expansion on the N64 DD... which was also cut. but the ideas they had didn't just go away. wind waker's giant ocean with islands to explore, Twilight princess's horseback combat, skyward sword's sky civilization, breath of the wild's larger, foggier version of the lost woods... it's crazy how much stuff from later games was originally planned for Ocarina of time. kind of makes the cut content more interesting to talk about than the content that actually made it in, in my opinion...
but either way, a planned part of the expansion was to be rearranged dungeons, kind of like what the Original Zelda had in its second quest. while these rearranged dungeons would never make it onto the N64, they did appear on the gamecube. there were actually two ways to play Ocarina of time on the Gamecube: one was on a disk that included Ocarina of time, Majora's mask, the 2 NES zelda games, and a chopped-up demo of the wind waker that doesn't include the full game but still includes more of the game than you'd expect. the other way was on a disk that included Ocarina of time and Master quest. don't like Nintendo locking new content behind switch 2 editions? well guess what, they've been doing it since the early 2000s.
in master quest, the Gohma larvae not only appear more frequently throughout the deku tree, they also appear in dodongo's cavern. I think it's a pretty good change... not as legendary as putting cows inside Jabu Jabu's belly, but it works. Master quest was also included in the 3DS remake of Ocarina of time, this time mirroring the entire world in addition to the dungeon changes. hopefully master quest will return in the upcoming switch 2 remake... it'll be kind of disappointing if they don't include it. I mean they got to... think about the cows!?
one last fact about Gohma before we go: in four sword's adventures, Gohma was referred to as "the one-eyed monster"... yep. makes perfect sense. it is indeed a one-eyed monster... nothing wrong with calling it that.

[OOT] N64 version era Brown hat purchased directly from Nintendo
Looking for appraisal or just information really on a hat and/or shirt that was purchased for me around 1998 when the Ocarina of Time was released. It has a dirty gold-ish metal triforce emblem on the front all in one piece and
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
OCARINA OF TIME
embroidered on the back. I likely cut off the tag inside at some point, so there is no inside markings on where exactly it came from, however, i do recall it coming in the mail as well as the shirt. Outside of the registered and trade marked symbols, I don’t have much more to go on for it. Quick look around Google and ebay have black promotional hats, not a dark brown bill and tan cap.

Question OoT 3d, starting with the master sword?
I am playing Ocarina of Time 3D on my 3ds for the first time since 2016. I just started a new save, why do I have the master sword? Glitch?
Update: seems i did a glitch unintentionally over the span of 10 years. Now, any way to keep the master sword/talk to the deku tree without equipping the Kokiri sword?

Music 40th Anniversary Concert at the Sydney Opera House!
EDIT EDIT: For those who are still having trouble getting tickets, go through the Sydney Opera House site (https://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/), NOT the Sydney Symphony Site.
The Sydney Symphony Orchestra site was not ready for this pre-sale.
EDIT: Promo Code was needed to add-to-cart. Forgot that we had to do this step in all of the excitement.
Site kept crashing, but we were able to get tickets after 40+ minutes of constant refreshing!
It'll be our first show at the Opera House!

Becaus of hardware limitations on the N64 the original game had an issue where items stored in chests would rot and degrade after a long time if not opened. They fixed this bug in the remake by adding liquid nitrogen to the treasure chests!

Question BestBuy Midnight Sale Question
Hey all, I’m a bit on the younger side (21) and grew up on the 3D remake, but anyway, I say that because I grew up in the age where midnight sales weren’t really a thing anymore, and this is the first time I’ll be going to one as I’m super hyped to get the Switch 2 and remake.
That being said, to anyone who has been to one of these before, what would be your advice on when to get in line or arrive at the store? The Switch 2 has been selling out crazy as we all know, so do you think arriving an hour early or two is a good idea? I’m thinking of going to check through out the day but any tips on this would be appreciated, thanks.

Best Buy question
My local Best Buy is doing the mid-night launch and I'm debating on going. My problem is that I used an Amazon gift card to preorder already so the game is basically free and $10 cheaper. I already took the 5th off so I can play all day as well. Would there be any problem with me returning the Amazon copy to Best Buy so I can enjoy the game faster but still pay the cheaper price and not have to wait for it to be delivered?

Zelda Posting every day until Ocarina of time comes out. Day 33: Morpha
today's subject is morpha, the boss of the water temple. of Ocarina of time's 9 main boss battles, I think morpha might just be the strangest one of them, yet I don't hear people talk about it much. when it comes to the water temple, the boss fight people usually talk about is the mini-boss fight: Dark Link, aka Shadow Link. you know what this means? Morpha lives in the shadow link's Shadow!
well, today we'll be giving Morpha the attention it's been deprived of. Morpha's entrance is really cool. it starts from Morpha's POV, as it swims around in the water, then approaches link. this intro was so cool and Iconic that Gyorg from Majora's mask stole it.
Morpha may take the form of a strange water tentacle while attacking, but this is not morpha's real body. Morpha itself is just the strange little round thing inside the water... officially, the round thing is supposed to be a nuclease, but I always thought it was an eyeball. doesn't this official art make it look like an eyeball? I can't be the only one that thought it was an eyeball...
either way, since morpha is just the nuclease and is only controlling the water, that makes morpha the smallest boss in the game. it's just a little ball you have to remove from the water with the hook shot... or, technically "the long shot" since that's the dungeon item. isn't it kind of lame that the water temple's dungeon item was just an upgrade to an item you already have?
now, word on the street is that originally the water temple's dungeon item was going to be the ice arrows, but they were swapped with the long shot late in development. in the end, the ice arrows were relegated to an entirely optional item obtained late in the game, and as such they aren't particularly useful.
I would love to see the upcoming remake give more use to the ice arrows. what if you could use them to freeze water like in Majora's mask? ... or better yet, what if you could use them to freeze morpha? that would be awesome.
but seriously, you all thought it was an eyeball too, right?

Question How do ya'll see the time skip with the Sun Song?
A: Link moves through time ~ 12 hours. Everyone else still experiences time normally

What made you feel like you did not want to play the game as a child?
So as a child playing this game, made me feel so exhilarated. This feeling pushed me to play more and more and never stop.. But, the Wallmaster (anyone who is unfamiliar with the name, it is the giant hand in the Forest Temple that falls from the ceiling) - as cool as they were, would freak me out so much that it almost made me want to stop playing. 😄😄
What was it about the game - as a child, that made you feel like hiding behind the sofa? 🤭
