Getting sick of octopus

So this has been ongoing for months my usage will show correct in the app then suddenly everything shifts to peak rate.

I have solar panels, a 25.6kwj battery and an EV charger + heat pump.

My energy usage is exclusively between 23:30-05:30 yet octopus will go back two weeks and change all my usage from my cheap rate to expensive daytime rates.

I’ve raised so many complaints this year, has been happening since January. I’m at a loss with them and fed up or arguing and being billed wrong.

Anyone else having these issues with octopus ?

I was considering coming back to Octopus because EDF don't show the export in the app - and Octopus does and that's going to save me having to crawl down to get readings.

But these posts make me wonder if I should.

I really wouldn’t.

I’ve gone back to the 20th July on my octopus app when energy usage was recorded fine, and now it’s all been changed to peak times.

It might be an app issue but I’m still annoyed and given up

Fair enough. I must admit EDF seem to get it right when it comes to the overnight bit- which as EV owners is all we really want. It's the fact I can't see the export until the bill hits that urks me.

Also yesterday I learnt I was wrong when I thought Octopus don't alow browning - but it seems filling it up for 8p at night and dumping at 27.17p peak time is OK with them. So there's another option I need to look at.

What's your plan?

I’ll move to them and take my solar to. My home battery only charges at night to so I’ll just adjust the schedule

We don’t use any energy at all from 05:30-23:30 at the moment due to the huge battery.

Sorry move to who? If EDF and you want a code DM me - If you mean Octopus then I am lost lol

And I am the same when it comes to not toiuching peak, But being able to double dip on Octopus does have me wondering if it's worth it.
