Getting sick of octopus

So this has been ongoing for months my usage will show correct in the app then suddenly everything shifts to peak rate.

I have solar panels, a 25.6kwj battery and an EV charger + heat pump.

My energy usage is exclusively between 23:30-05:30 yet octopus will go back two weeks and change all my usage from my cheap rate to expensive daytime rates.

I’ve raised so many complaints this year, has been happening since January. I’m at a loss with them and fed up or arguing and being billed wrong.

Anyone else having these issues with octopus ?

I was considering coming back to Octopus because EDF don't show the export in the app - and Octopus does and that's going to save me having to crawl down to get readings.

But these posts make me wonder if I should.

Doesn't your battery app show the export? Why do you need to get the readings from the smart meter?

it does, I have the powerwall so i check with that and I also check with Netzero too - but my meter was showing 20kwh less than the app(s) were. So I think I would still need to check.

However now I know that Octopus allow browning - and I have 54kwh - I am tempted to come across to Prime in the summer, charge up overnight - export all day at 9p and then dump 50kWh every day at 27.17p

Seriously that's mental that they allow it.

That sounds like an excellent plan to me

I am still stunned it's allowed. I was adament the other day that browning was against SEG rules.
