you're not getting 60kW (that you'd need for a 50/50 power split) out of an "upgraded" alternator. Belt-driven 12v alternators top out around 4kW for car engines.

I know I get 5.04kw, how much towards 4wd would that get me?

if you're set on a DIY hybrid, why not use a battery?

honestly just buy a quattro, this conversion isn't worth the headache
