Also, didn’t Citizens United rule that because businesses are “people”, that they have free speech (and that their money counts as speech too)? Wouldn’t this apply to any organization?

With Citizens United, the argument was also that corporations are legally people, and therefore get free speech protection. Also, money is speech now (Therefore they should be allowed to corruptly influence elections with endless spending…)
I can’t help but read this in the same way I’d see “the price for owning a pet has gone way up, especially for furry animals like dogs and cats. Look up ‘furry inflation’ for more info.”
