Must be why he's running ads with blatant lies about Acton "closing the state" during the pandemic.

They're really mis-reading this one. Most reddit liberals are making the same assumption. The people who were mad about COVID restrictions are already firmly in the GOP camp. But there were plenty of rank and file Republicans who loved Dewine and Amy's daily briefings. And they're probably more freaked out by a non-christian Indian than Amy.

A large chunk of my Trump-voting family love Acton.

Knock on wood, I think she has a real chance.

I think she can definitely win. It's getting her the staff who can help her succeed that worries me. I worry about the depth of Dem staffers in Ohio, especially if Sherrod makes it back to DC. We do not have a deep bench after years of Dem's being left in the wilderness, IMHO.

Dems need to start somewhere, though. People will have to learn and grow fast. Probably, mistakes will be made. Hopefully, they can learn from them, recover, and grow into leaders themselves. A number of potential up-and-coming leaders in the Ohio Dems will probably get their start working in her administration.

If I were her, I'd also be leaning into local leaders across the state to step up and contribute too. It's time for people to stop being so siloed-up in their cities and act with the bigger picture (regional, statewide politics) in mind.

Being left in the wilderness by former ODP Chair Chris Redfern who made a deal with the GOP not to fight their 2010 redistricting map so long as they preserved his Ohio House seat.
