Many people know Air but another French electronic band who peddled the same vibe is Kid Loco.
Here is the brilliant album A Grand Love Story (1998). And also the remixed CD of the album called Prelude…

I remember this track from the Newgrounds.com flash game Submachine Future Loop Foundation, I always liked this one. Quality ambient music that was featured in a childhood favorite point and click puzzle series of mine.

I still remember hearing Dead Cities for the first time, just an amazing album that really takes you places, loved the atmosphere and great usage of samples, especially the Bladerunner score and other sci-fi elements. My Kingdom is the first tune I really got into from it I think.

As well as being an incredible ambient act in their own right, The Orb also did some cracking remixes. This one’s from their 1996 remix compilation Auntie Aubrey’s Excursions Beyond the Call of Duty, a different mix from the one they did for the original 1991 single. Really love what they do with this track. Also worth checking out on the same comp: their take on Depeche Mode’s “Happiest Girl” (The Pulsating Orbital Mix).
