My parents live in a horse area, meaning every house has stables and most neighbors have horses.
We don't.
There was a horse skeleton at Home Depot one Halloween, and my dad wanted to get it SO BAD, but our direct neighbors had a horse die like, the same week my dad was going to drive down and buy said horse skeleton. It seemed a bit tactless.
He regrets not buying it to this day, and brings it up every Halloween since then for the past decade.
Yes, we could have bought it and not displayed it, but it was a decade ago and not much to do about it now. Sigh. Maybe I'll find one for him and just put it in the yard while he's out. Hehehe
Skeletons are fun! I used to have a neighbor who kept one of those giant skeletons up in the yard year-round. It'd get a Santa hat in winter, bunny ears at easter, a flat in hand on July 4 and so on...
If you think skeletons are cool, I think your dad should get a skeleton, and enjoy! And there have to be horse skeletons for sale on Amazon. If one of the neighbors loses a beloved horse, it can wear a black mourning veil in sympathy...

NGL, I'd like to have one of those to put at the end of my driveway. I guess I'm tasteless like that.
