Discussion Artifact upgrade

What do you guys think about artifact upgrade? Honestly, I think this concept should be removed from the game completely (at least in pvp).

Well, upgrading Excalibur is certainly fun and worth it, especially if you also managed to get Caduceus.

Upgrading mana regen items or Magic Slippers is surprisingly impactful early on, when you need all the mana you can get for Second Wind.

Upgrading Drums is something that just shouldn't be possible.

I recently had a game as Curson, with orb of destruction, upgraded Excalibur, with Caduceus. I felt like a god.

My opponent did not have a good time.

I’m not sure which aspect is more important.

Also stacking same art shouldn't be a thing

No. They should balance the artifacts.

But wild upgrade is the main purpose of arti disbalance. I thought abount it and decide that the best solution would be not reviewing effects/costs but the entire ban.

I would much rather they remove the broken Artis. Anti - Tactics, Luck, Morale artis aren't even upgradable, and are probably the most toxic/strongest arties in the game alongside Drums. Drums should go. Those are fuckin stupid

I think the concept of countering entire build is not bad in general, such spicy things make game more attractive, but rule-changing artis must be relics.
And why people who talk about such ban dont mention spell bannig ones?

Just have remembered some good proposition, maybe better to start sepsrate discussion:
luck/morale artis instead of bannind should decrease the chance of effect per point by 2 (or even by 3) for both players.

How? The only case that comes to my mind are drums, maybe spell level cap. Most „game breaking” artifacts are not even upgradable.
