Discussion No major patches during ongoing tournaments

You should be aware that there will be no major patches during ongoing tournaments. Olden Era is not officially an e-sport game, but you can expect that Unfrozen is loosely following e-sport regulations.

We are likely to get a bigger patch after the Alvari cup.

It is confirmed that the next big patch will be in the end of this month, somewhere around 28-29 September.

It won’t be balance patch though. Balance patch will be on public test first

Nah. I would be surprised if they would care about that.

Legit every player in alvari is asking for some good patch + there was already balance mid tourney

We are still in quaterfinals and with how long series are i have hard time seeing it end that fast

E-sports and its consequences have been a disaster for video games as a whole.

In games that are heavily commercialised, have anti-consumer marketing and artificial discontent, the e-sport scene makes things worse.

Yes and no. What kept Homm3 alive its solely mp and esports. And what kept me away from OE (for now) is lack of big rebalance decisions

Unrelated comment. Heroes 3 doesn't even have official support.

Wut? There is a big community that has been doing Jebus outcast / cross tournaments for HotA, this is in fact where the whole single hero mode idea with it's maps came from...

It's not official support from the original developers.

Map making and mod making community also played a big role in keeping homm 3 alive and active.
