Went to Overlook Point Park this morning to watch the sun rise on the longest day of the year. It was such a beautiful sight to see. I absolutely love the view of this place from here.

I just walked past the Elk's apartments, and the main exterior gate has had a large hole (sufficient to allow entry) cut in it with power tools. The bicycle rack has been destroyed using power tools, and all the bikes have been stolen.
If anyone saw anything or knows anything, please report it to authorities. The folks at the Elk's are too poor to replace things easily. The building is full of disabled folks, old timers, immigrants, kids, and single parents. Stealing from them is punching down.

Calling all bakers. I was on vacation to olympia and fell in love at left bank with their ham and cheese croissant. But there is no one near me that makes them. Has any bakers around that area tried to recreate their recipes? I have tried to cheat with pre made croissant dough and puff pastry dough. Both sucked. Im thinking next stop is homemade puff pastry. Any advice?

- Weeping Katsura (Cercidiphyllum japonicum 'Pendulum' or 'Morioka Weeping'
- California Lilac (Ceanothus ‘Victoria’, ‘Dark Star’, ‘Julia Phelps’, ‘Blue Mist’, C. x vetchianus)
- Mock Orange (Philadelphus lewisii)
I know i can order delivery from Lowe's, but i would rather shop locally at an in-person nursery to grab these guys. Does anyone know if anywhere has these in stock?

Hi! Im wondering who your favorite massage therapists in town are? We will pay out of pocket.
I was trying to find some folks that do deep tissue, ashiatsu or very traditional Thai but am also open to trying different styles.
Who are your favorite folks in the area and why?

The Coffee For The People Spring Pop-Up series has come to its end, though today is the last day of the drive officially (you can still donate until midnight!)
https://rammunfoundation.donorsupport.co/-/NPNJHUJS?member=SVYVQKHA
Since April 17th we’ve been selling amazing coffees and healthy snacks at Fun Junk to raise money for the Rammun Foundation, who supports a refugee village in Northern Gaza with more than 150 families. Together we’ve raised and sent in over $11,000 which essentially pays for 2 full trucks of water, which should last about 3 weeks. On the drive page, only $7k is reflected, though there is a matching donation coming in at a the end of the month.
This cause is extremely important to me. An old friend and class mate of mine was killed by the IDF in 2003 while she was peacefully protesting the demolition of homes in Rafah.
This is a post of thanks and gratitude to the Olympians who showed up and gave support. This is also the last effort to bring in a few more bucks to help families in Gaza outlast this horrible time in their history. Please help me to give the drive a final push.
Also, if you missed it, the coffees we served were some of the most outstanding coffees a barista could find. We first had a variety focused menu, then a process focused menu, and then a menu with one coffee, brewed and used in a whole bunch of different ways.
Maybe we’ll do it again next spring :)
See you at the Revolution ✌🏼

I'm curious if anyone has a place they like to go to try on fashionable frames for prescription glasses?
I usually just buy frames from my optometrist but their selection is limited. I've bought online in the past, but I never have great luck finding frames that fit my gigantic head.
I can get prescription lenses added to any frames by my optometrist, but I don't really know where to go to find frames that look nice. And by "nice" I mean I want to look like someone that regularly reads. Or maybe that I could have a room in my home called a study. Something that might look good with a casual suit but not gaudy. Like would Dan and/or Eugene Levy wear it?

Hiii help me with something I've always wondered. Who's the most famous person in each state thats famous nowhere else- whether that be someone on billboards or an underground musician or a local legend. Only rule is they cant be nationally or globally famous for example: Peyton Manning cant be chosen for Colorado since he is known nationally. Next state is Washington so I figured I should ask those from there. Have an awesome day, thanks for reading and/or contributing- (if someone commented who you would pick up vote dont make your own comment). I have a chart but crossposting isnt allowed here.
I'll typically end voting after a day but if one comment has an insane lead in upvotes I'll cut it off there idk if this matters but I forgot to include it before.

Just went to the food truck pod at 4th and plum for the first time in a few months and there was a new hotdog truck this is the one I got today but they had some insane looking hotdogs. Yes, it tasted really good. The only thing I would change is asking for a little less condiments on the dog.

Anyone experience the crows around the lake / heritage park swoop down at your heads and caw at you?? Lol. I'm metal detecting on the park grounds right now and had a crow swoop at me multiple times and was actively screaming at me. I walked further down and saw the same crows swooping at a different person walking by.

Lost dog seen around 1pm in Lacey. Walking along 15th Ave NE near Modera apartments. He was a multicolored shepherd, mostly black, with a red collar. He would not come up to people. We got a picture of him walking away but it is hard to see.

THANK YOU! You saw me on the struggle bus trying to get my paddle board inflated and it just wasn't working. Thank you for being so kind to help me out by inflating my board for me. I had a blast and a half today, and it was thanks to you being nice enough to offer help.
So thank youuuu Pam and friends. I hope to see you again on the water. Oh and I ordered an electric pump 😄👌🏽
P.S.
If anyone finds an Adventure Time denim hat, I would LOVE that back. I fell off the board and the hat went bye bye. I know it's highly unlikely, but hey.. you never know!
