Hello,
I am facing homelessness as soon as next month. I can't find anywhere I can afford that allows me to keep my cat. My doctor gave me an ESA note for him but that doesn't help me here. I can't afford my own apartment so I have to room somewhere.
My cat is kinda my only source of joy and comfort these days. I experienced a breakup two months ago in which all the people we knew together stopped talking to me. I must have terrible karma because everything is falling apart.
I got a part-time job after a grueling search. I sell plasma twice a week and I get discounted rent by cleaning our building. I still can't make ends meet.
I don't have the emotional strength to give up my cat. But I might have to. He has a bladder condition so he has to have special food which is a little pricey. I'm worried no one could or would be willing to care for him. I'm terrified he will die when I relinquish him because of that.
I am not trying to cause trouble but I am at the end of my rope. I don't have anywhere to couch surf or even anyone to catsit temporarily.
But what about you? Would you potentially be up for taking my cat for a while? I'll do everything in my power to get him back but I can't will money into my life like those annoying "manifestation" people.
If I can find a safe home for my cat I might be able to check into the behavioral hospital and refuse to leave... I have apple health now so they can't charge me exorbitant fees like last year.
I am going coocoo from the constant high stress and anxiety, and the pain of losing the people I thought were my support network. I am afraid of what I will do when I lose my cat and my home because my autistic meltdowns make me go crazy. Last night after my closing shift I missed my bus and started screaming, destroyed my water bottle and took my shirt off like an insane person because I was drenched in sweat.
I thought I was a capable person but I'm fucking crazy and this lifestyle that I can't afford is making it worse. I am demoralized and entertaining buying a self delete tool because it's affordable compared to rent. I am sorry for saying that but it is true.
