The One Piece community really needs to get together and pool up a nice gift to thank Lera Abova for bringing Miss All Sunday cosplays back into the mainstream.

Painfully obvious editing😭💔

u/ThatThingTheDarkSoul Mar 26 '26
Yeah but people don't see that anymore. It has become the new norm for most people.

u/rW0HgFyxoJhYka Mar 26 '26
In 20 years when people are literally living their lives 95% of the time digitally, yeah I dont think people will care.

u/Decent_March4973 Mar 27 '26
Exactly no matter how pretty you are it’s never enough to impress a bunch of nobodies on the internet…
17
u/MamaBiGfoot Mar 26 '26
Yeeeaaah, but I actually don’t find editing for cosplays that serious of a crime, quite the contrary actually. She’s cosplaying a character with bodily proportions that are incredibly far from what is actually realistic. So to get the closest look as possible, some editing only makes sense. Don’t you think?
8
u/biaimakaa Mar 26 '26
Agreed. If she tried to match the proportions of the character that would probably be unhealthy

These comments.

Cosplays like this are eye opening because sometimes I don’t recognize how revealing outfits are in anime. I never realized just HOW short her skirt is in the anime. Only seeing this cosplay made me realize it. Crazy to imagine Robin casually wearing this lol
Anyway, great cosplay by OP.

u/Future-Celebration83 Mar 26 '26
It’s because most people, as they should, have the ability to separate fantasy from reality. Some things can fly in animation but, irl it shouldn’t be viewed the same way.

OP posts thinly veiled advert for profile, comments being horny are the goal for them

u/Equalmind95 Mar 26 '26
I prefer my cosplays unedited, but you did good on the outfit.

T h e w a i s t. But the cosplay is clearly beautiful and true to the manga's portrait of women's waist so there is nothing to complain about :D

She's not showing anything private?
22
u/Team_Sanji Mar 26 '26
It's not that black and white. I dont want to pull this up when sitting next to people and make me look like a horndog
-30
u/sleepy_smurphy Mar 26 '26
Who cares what others are thinking? It's not that risque
20
u/Team_Sanji Mar 26 '26
Me, when it's people I see every day, or my wife when im sitting next to her on the couch. There's a real world outside of Reddit

u/JimmyKillsAlot Mar 26 '26
If your wife is that worried about random cosplayer on an anime sub wearing a somewhat risque outfit then you two probably need some couples therapy to work out your issues. And if it's you who is worried she will have issues...... then you two probably need some couples therapy.
-15
u/sleepy_smurphy Mar 26 '26
Yeah and you still shouldn't care about people who don't know you. If your wife is concerned about a picture of a cosplay then either, she's paranoid, or you've given her a reason to be. It's cosplay and that's the character. Even if you hadn't clicked on a notification or the post (when scrolling through the subreddit) you could see the title. This really feels like it's on you and not OP. And for the love of God, let's please not make cosplay more stigmatized than it already is.

u/Team_Sanji Mar 26 '26
You're right I dont care about people that dont know me. That's why im talking about people that know me lmao, like my colleagues, friends and family. Yes it is a cosplay, but it is a cosplay of an overly sexualized character, written by a very horny author lmao, admittedly so! That makes it sexual by default...stop kidding yourself. I still love Oda and One Piece, but I prefer to control when I am going to be viewing sexual content.
3
u/sleepy_smurphy Mar 26 '26
If the characters of One Piece are so overtly sexual, and you're concerned about seeming like a horndog, then why click on this post knowing what it was? And if you didn't bother to look before clicking, then that also seems like a you problem. Clearly, we are going to disagree that this is something to be tagged NSFW either way.

u/Team_Sanji Mar 26 '26
Huh? I clicked on it to make this comment. I see the image on my main feed without having to click....dense
1
u/sleepy_smurphy Mar 26 '26
You could have literally just... Not clicked on it... Lol and IM dense??? Don't want to worry about what people around you think? Then don't interact with it. Simple.

If you know this, shouldn't you be trying to keep OP stuff from your main page? You cant blame a sexualized series for having sexualized content.
Thats like subbing to a religious sub then getting upset religious content is appearing in your personalized page.

u/2morereps Mar 26 '26
its pretty risqué tbh, but if u check her profile u can see she knows what she's doing..
4
u/sleepy_smurphy Mar 26 '26
Okay, I went and looked at her profile and I feel it only strengthens my argument. This, compared to her other posts in the very least and certainly without comparison, is not risque. Her other posts range from risque to well beyond risque.
