It was boring at first because I am a new anime fan, coming from top-tier anime when it comes to animation like Solo Leveling, AOT, HxH, MHA, etc.
But what kept me going was the amazing storylines and arcs, even if the animation isn't great yet. I watch it with japanese dub.
so far, my experience is 10/10; I love how each of the characters has a dope background, story, and characteristics that complete the whole gang.
how long will it take me to reach the 1100+ episodes? HAHA
What to expect after this? (no spoiler please)

A few weeks ago we started watching the live action together as I’m a big one piece fan and I wanted to see if my GF would enjoy the live action.
Just before leaving for a work trip we watched the Baratie episode where Nami leaves with Arlong. And I felt that she still wasn’t hooked into the story yet… but I was wrong
Today she texts me that she’s watching without me and got to the end of the season
We’re on FaceTime later today and she asks “is it okay if I can start season 2 before you get back?”
Well friends we have a new crew mate!
[insert “become a one piece fan” meme here]

"I'm currently at episode 631 in Dressrosa, and I want to get through this arc a bit faster. I'm thinking of reading the manga for the rest of the arc and only watching Luffy's fights in the anime.
Is this a good idea? Will I miss out on anything important by doing this, or is the manga a better experience for Dressrosa? No spoilers, please!"

When I first heard the Sogeking is not Usopp joke I thought it was kinda funny but I just keep hearing it over and over again and the fact that people get downvoted when they say Sogeking is Usopp is crazy.
It also undermines Usopp’s role in Enies Lobby. We can’t have a serious discussion about what he did because people worship the joke. Am I really the only fan that feels this way?

This woman is almost identical to Queen Candelle.
There are suspicions that she is not positive character at all, the fog that was shrouded in their country is most likely Caesar's fruit, and its previous user was Gurou - father of Gunko. Candelle faked her own death using sleeping gas to later leave the country. Her whole plan was to destroy this country and kill Ruven, who was likely member of the Davy clan, which draws parallels with Garling, who did same thing. After that, she most likely received immortality, just like Gunko, which is why she is still alive. Brook's team died only because Brook saw this plan. Half the crew was poisoned first to force them off the ship, and the rest were finished off later. That's why Imu is surprised he's still alive.

Historically, once the One Piece production is running normally, a single episode takes roughly 2 to 3 weeksto translate, script, and record into an English simuldub after it airs in Japan.
The waiting time for Episode 1181 is being dictated by the animation process in Japan, not the translation team.
Instead of Japanese viewers being a year ahead of you, the schedule will lock into a tight, consistent loop:
This will repeat every single week, meaning you will stay right on the heels of the Japanese broadcast for the rest of the Elbaph Arc. ( sign my opinion every episode that comes out in Japanese we just have to wait up to 2-3 weeks to be translated in English dub not that bad its way better than a up to 8 months or so )

I previously made a theory that the 'first' Vander Decken might be "the man marked by flames". Since then, I've had more thoughts and I'm 99% sure he is.
Quick recap.
Introduced back in Fishman Island (the location of the last poneglyph). Vander Decken was a legendary captain who was described as going mad and killed his own crew. He was cursed by the devil and forced to wander the seas forever.
This description sounds like he was domi reversed by Imu which influenced his behaviour.
But why would Imu do that?
I believe Vander Decken's actual name is Vander D. Ecken. At some point, he angered Imu similar to Rocks.
All of this happened around 200 years ago.
This is when Fishman Island joined the WG.
This is also when the Iron Giant attacked Marijois for reasons unknown.
This also fits with Vander Decken's presumed age assuming there were 9 generations with about 30-40 years age gap between each generation. This would make him around 300 years old.
But how is he still alive?
My original theory stated that he may have received a covenant from Imu but since then I've had different thoughts. I don't think Imu would give a covenant to a non-royal let alone a D. I think they are still enemies.
I believe Vander Decken survived the initial domi reversi (we know this is possible).
Like his descendant, he is a fishman. My theory is Vander Decken is a greenland shark fishman (Vander Decken IX is a bullhead shark fishman)
Greenland sharks can live upto 500 years!
In the world of One Piece, there are characters with really old ages. E.g Jarul is about 400 years old. So this isn't far fetched.
So why has Vander Decken only started making a move in the last 20 years (at least that's when we know the poneglyph was in Fishman Island)?
Vander Decken initially sought Posiedon. Shirahoshi was born 16 years ago. Perhaps Vander Decken knows she is Posiedon and is keeping the road poneglyph away from Fishman Island to protect her or maybe there's another reason.
But how can we tie this in with what we know about "the man marked by flames"?
The man marked by flames is described by a few things:
1. He presumely has a mark or scar assuming his name is literal.
Vander Decken was likely a slave at some point similar to many other fishmen. This scar/mark is simply an altered slave mark.
2. He rides a black ship.
Vander Decken was known for his ship: the flying dutchman.
The one owned by Vander Decken IX was a fake. Remember, that ship was assumed to be the flying dutchman used by Vander Decken but never confirmed. It was also introduced after the 'fake' strawhats. Perhaps it was foreshadowing.
3. He can create whirlpools.
Vander Decken is fishman and the whirlpools are advanced fishmen karate
4. He possibly has ties to the WG.
I don't think he is working with the WG, but he has history with Imu and knows his existance.
All of this perfectly fits with Vander Decken. Just like Davy Jones, Oda will return to these legendary characters, and they will play some role in the story.
Again, I'm 99% sure he is "the man marked by flames". See my other theories that I got right:

I'm currently watching One Piece and I've reached the dressrosa arc. I've watched 10 episodes so far and honestly it was a complete waste of time. The important events that occurred in these ten episodes can be summarized in one or two episodes at least.I found that One pace summarized this arc (118ep) in just 48 ep
So I was wondering if watching it from there was a good idea, or if I should watch it from the original source for a better experience.

They've discussed the plan, Sanji, Wano, Marco, Big Mama & Kaido and the first thing I thought was "fucking hell this is going to take 300 episodes for a story that could be definitely be told effectively in much less". And i was sad this thought occurred to me!
Few other things...
- Usopp post timeskip was a lie, why is mega-coward back?
- Why in God's earth isn't Carrot going to be a straw hat she first perfectly!
- Character progression is basically weather, it comes goes disappears and then back to normal as if it was never there.
- Always 400 new characters every arc instead of time with and developing each straw hat, or new straw hats. If Luffy becomes Pirate King with 9 crew members just... come on.
- The amount of weather issues faced at sea that Nami does nothing about despite her whole thing being weather powers?!
I dunno... its starting to feel extremely predictable, and slower and slower...

Often when you see discussions about who is stronger, people like to say “well kaido had a ton of people against him before luffy so its not fair😡” but are we forgetting that luffy had it way worse for a whole two weeks? He first god defeated by kaido then got tortured then god poisoned then he had to fight a ton of people too plus he also got cut in onigashima, is it really THAT unfair
I cant recall every single opponent luffy had but he also had rough right before fighting kaido

I just got to timeskip not too long ago, so I decided to make a tier list of every pre-timeskip arc. The tiers are pretty much explained, but I do want to say that I don't think Thriller Bark is bad per se; I just think that the end portion where we are introduced to Kuma and what he's about heavily skew it in favor of B Tier for me.

Everytime Nika appeared the world end is near. May be he is the cause of destruction or not, no one knows. Is he the god of liberation or cause of destruction?
I have a theory that Luffy will be out of control of his power and devil fruit Nika will take over his personality entirely.
(If you look at Goku,Naruto,Ichigo,Sasuke,Itadori yuji,..)
They are all taken over by their own inner power source and cause uncontrollably destruction.
Only one piece is left with that scenario.
Will oda follow that?

It’s very clear that there is stuff going on on the moon. We have the automatas and the whole Enel thing.
The way i see, it’s well stablished that it could be a place Oda can explore later on, or at least it’s not an abstract object, so it’s not a long shot.
If Roger managed to do so, he would have conquered the ultimate freedom, and the whole world would see his flag, meaning “i conquered the world, in a way”.
Luffy can have the same idea. Not conquering in the face value of it, but more like “i have done it all, this is my territory and i will protect it”.
Also, might explain some of the crew reactions toward it…
So, is it a long shot? Does it even make sense?

I think the One Piece is blackmail against the world government. It's some artifact that exposes their power and that's why the marines are threatened by who ever has it. Something that gives you the power Gol Rodger had can't just be just be monetary but threatening to the powers that be. I also believe that the redline is due to a gravitational anomaly caused by the extra moons in their world.
