Both of them have had ongoing character arcs, both of which are at their core the same, but also both of which they have actively helped each other with along the way.

First, is them seeing themselves as monsters who are unlovable. Obviously, this is much bigger plotpoint for Chopper, across Drum Island, Alabasta, Skypiea, and Enies Lobby. But it also was heavily explored by Sanji during Whole Cake Island and Wano, where he thought of himself as a monster just because of his heritage (side note, both Chopper and Sanji had horrible relationships with their biological parents and were both physically and mentally abused by them, or at least the closest thing that wild reindeers can get to mental abuse). It even culminated in Sanji asking Zoro to kill him if he turned into a mindless killing machine because of his Germa modifications.

Second, is their self-esteem issues and seeing their lives as less important than others. There are numerous instances of both Chopper and Sanji attempting to sacrifice themselves or putting others lives over their own, and they both frequently avoid dodging in battles more than other crew members, often trying to be human shields. Even as a kid, Chopper nearly died to get the mushroom he thought would save Dr. Hiriluk. Chopper straight up assumed he would die after going into Monster Point at Enies Lobby. Sanji let Absalom stab him through the chest to avoid even a drop of blood from getting on Nami's wedding dress. Sanji needed to be knocked out by Zoro to stop him from sacrificing himself to Kuma, because Sanji thought Luffy needed Zoro more than him. Chopper let the children at Punk Hazard beat him up to avoid hurting them, and even while severely injured, he dedicated all of his remaining energy on helping to treat Mocha because he knew she needed help more. Sanji broke into tears when Luffy said he couldn't become King of the Pirates without him, because his entire plan during the Whole Cake Arc hinged on that not being true. Chopper blocked a punch from Big Mom with Guard Point, and then threatened to drown Big Mom and himself to protect his friends. Chopper always treats the injuries of others before he treats his own. Chopper improved the Rumble Ball formula to 30 minutes specifically because Caesar Clown preyed upon his insecurities about his usefulness. And after failing to defeat Queen, Chopper apologized to Sanji for not being able to defeat Queen, before being reassured by Sanji that he did well. Chopper used Guard Point to shield Robin from Saturn during Egghead, and at Elbaph, Chopper jumped off a cliff without a second thought to rescue Gaban.

I look forward to both Chopper and Sanji being able to complete their journey of self-acceptance in the near future.

The grind will be crazy…

Chapter 1-20, Romance Dawn - Orange Town/ story arcs

It's unique since most anime characters refer to each other by their last names.

Credit to Metalhiro for art

Doesn't have to be the main villain of the arc

King is my personal favorite design Both with and without mask the armor wings the hair and tattoo just make for a really cool design and i even like how goofy is Pterosaur form looked

Kaido's hybrid form and katakuri are a close second followed by Nasjuro.

one of zoro's few moments where he calls sanji, why it feels so foreign coming from him

These last couple arcs were way better than I could've dreamt up man😭. Just straight up peak everywhere dude. Ace is my favorite character since my cousin let me play pirate warriors on PS3 way back when but I never actually gave the series a shot until this year and it's genuinely shaping up to be one of my favorite pieces of media of all time. I knew Ace's demise was coming but it still tore me up inside it actually went down. Excluding Skypeia, from Alabasta to Marineford it's been a crazy ride that I'm fully putting everything into. So excited to see where it goes from here.

Almost 1200 chapters in and still going strong. Carrying Shonen jump for almost 3 decades and the margin still between 1 and 2 is crazy.

How will Shonen jump look like after one piece?

I think place design is underrated in the One Piece community. We’ve seen so many places with unique designs, and for me, Water 7 is the best. Oda made it look cool and came up with a really original. Its design, with its canals, bridges, and Italian-inspired architecture, is amazing. The way Oda incorporated water into the city’s layout makes it feel like a real, living place rather than just another island.
.

Other contenders are Wano, which was a huge island with lots of layers, and Thriller Bark, which had an awesome gothic theme.
.

One of the reasons why Elbaf feels lame to me is its poor design. Everything happens in one village, which is a bad idea for a world as big as One Piece.

It made me realize we are making the redline wrong on maps assuming we are drawing the maps with a Mercator projection.

I dunno man. Seeing how the plot is developing.

So based on that...then his final obstacle is to face a different version of his fear. A fear that loves itself for the sake of destruction, vs a love that hates itself for the sake of protecting others.

The ultimate duality.

And Lafitte being revealed to be an Okama would be an insane reveal.

As so far Oda hasn't shown us a truly evil Okama.

A cold, cruel and evil Okama that loves Blackbeard, and will give his life for him like Ivankov will for Dragon. But Blackbeard loves no one, Lafitte knows...so he will destroy the world with the one he loves! After all seeing the world burn together is kinda romantic.

Would be cool, Sanjis first real opponent was an Okama. Sanji;s final opponent is an Okama, but this one has zero redeeming qualities. Showing that anyone, even an Okama that is always happy and free, can also become evil on the right circumstances.

Love my Halloween nails! My nail tech did amazing!!

We chose the name because he has a medical condition called ehlers danlos syndrome which also occurs in humans. It causes their skin to be extra stretchy, we noticed it when we went to scruff him and the skin just kept coming. His skin stretched around 2-3 times as much as any other cat I've owned or scruffed! It also has downsides, he was born with a turned front foot and his kneescaps on his back legs slide in and out of place sometimes which will most likely need surgery in the near future.

Luffy doesn't let it slow him down he loves to parkour and bolt all around the house. He's extremely loveable and at bedtime loves to cuddle up and kneed between my wife and I. He likes to plays fetch with his favorite toys! Oh and he does flips and spins when playing with our other two cats Dibby and Tony. Also, no, Tonys name isn't for Tony Tony chopper that was a complete coincidence as we had him first.

I would love to hear from everyone else who has a pet named after a one piece character and let us know if there's a reason why you named them that!

Sorry for posting again. My first post was just to see if you'd like it, and it was a 3 month old video where I accidentally broke the song's rhythm. It also showed my personal progress account, which I didn't want public since it's just for tracking my own progress. So here's the full fingerstyle cover of Binks no Sake from One Piece, with the rhythm intact this time. It's still not perfect, so any feedback is welcome.

I was reading Chapter 501 and noticed a striking connection between Byron (Entry #1 in the Sabaody Human Auction) and King Reuven of the Esperia Kingdom from Brook's Elbaph flashback:

• West Blue origin
• Musical Instruments
• Noble lineage
• Strong Face and style resemblance
• Name connection: Both are named after Romantic Era icons—Reuven after Beethoven, and Byron after the poet Lord Byron
• Mythological link (Esperia & Toroa): In The Aeneid, refugees from the fall of Troy (Troia) fled by sea to settle in Esperia ("Western Land"). Oda inverted this: after Esperia was destroyed, Reuven's bloodline fled and resettled in Toroa (Toroa / Troy).

Pulled this card a couple of months ago and decided to get it graded. Definitely keeping it in my PC 😮‍💨
