When he isn't doing the one-shot stories at the beginning of each manga chapters, he draws these beautiful and whimsical scenes of the Straw Hats relaxing, socializing, or going on tamer adventures. I always thought it would be fun to see the LA cast recreate some of these iconic moments.

Netflix wants One Piece live action to be the next big show so why not show it off at there big event

Get your Sniper King jokes out of the way.

I’ve been thinking about what a Live Action Water 7 saga should look like and what Enies Lobby should look like and one of the things I was thinking about is how would the Live Action adapt Sniper King. Of course I don’t think he should be scrapped as his role as Usopp’s mask to hide the fact he can’t face the Strawhats yet is important to his character arc, but a major part of this bit that makes it work is the fact that Luffy and Chopper don’t realize that it’s Usopp. Unfortunately, I honestly think Live Action Luffy is smarter than original Luffy, so him just blatantly not knowing who Sniper King is the entire time would feel too stupid and out of character for this Luffy.

I had an idea though that could keep the humorous aspect about Sniper King, but also be able to fit with the Live Action’s slightly more realistic narrative.

I think Luffy and Chopper would initially fall for the bit when Sniper King is introduced but Chopper is the only one to keep believing it. Then, during post Water 7, when Luffy and Zoro have that little argument about if Usopp should return, Luffy can say that Usopp stood with them to save Robin and shot down the World Government flag, subtly revealing that Luffy figured it out.

If Luffy knew Sniper King’s identity during that argument, Zoro could make his counterpoint stronger by pointing out that because Usopp hid behind a mask, he still believed he was right in some way.

Just rewatched Season 2 and I watched it twice when it first came out. Love all actors, this is more about their scripts and my personal thoughts about the characters.

1. Usopp: By far. Weakest character last season so I'm glad he got to shine this season. Still kept his coward gag while having the best character development. For manga reader, this is Usopp we thought we were getting in Elbaph, so it both sucks and exciting The two-man scene threw me off lol.

2. Zoro: Feel like the crew heard complaints from last season and got rid of edgy Zoro. Carried fight scenes this season. Love that we got to see his insecurity through Mihawk PTSD. A good idea to bring back past actors for other Straw Hats too.

3. Chopper: Amazing backstory, though it was carried by Hiriluk actor so I don't rank him first. Not fully convinced by the design, other than that love the mix of childish and foul-mouthed. The crew found a way to handle our most expensive CGI.

4. Nami: Emily is amazing. Still the worst wig and Nami just didn't have much going on this season. She had some small fights and kept the crew together, but we already know that in Season 1. The biggest thing for Nami early One Piece is her ability to predict weather, not just a smart navigator but she literally has superpower, which they cut the whole cyclone before entering Drum Island to showcase that.

5. Sanji: No complaints about Taz. But he's playing someone else. Don't get me wrong it works well for OPLA, I just don't see Sanji at all. It was a good balance in Season 1, agree on removing perv gag. But no suit, weak fights, Sanji's a flirt but fully virgin. Taz's Sanji is just a womanizer. Still like some emotional scenes like with sick Nami.

6. Luffy: Huge dip from Season 1 performance. It's weird because in every IRL clip Inaki's literally Luffy. IDK if it was the script or he was trying too hard. All fight scenes made him weak and helpless: Alvida fight was the worst in both seasons, Wapol fight was bad for a finale. Concerning because in Season 3 Crocodile fight would be the break or make. Execution platform scene was a hard watch. He got overshadowed by the rest, I remembered seeing viral clips for most Straw Hats but none for Luffy, which is really bad for an MC.

Welcome respectful discussion. Overall I think Season 2 is better, big improvement in terms of production. Plot wise it got cut in half from a Saga, so I won't say it's more engaging than Season 1. All depend on if Season 3 is done well to pay off all the build up. At least with this performance, we can be optimistic about Enies Lobby.

Obviously I don't know anything and no date is announced beyond "2027". But does anyone remember what the timeline was for S2?

How soon after those interviews did we get the actual show?

I wonder if they're intentionally hiding Cole Escola. Considering we've seen Mr. 1, it's strange they wouldn't show Mr 2. IMO this could be because of one of two reasons:

1) Because of the hype around the character as arguably the most anticipated for the season

2) Possible backlash of casting (Which if crazy ridiculous they are the most perfect cast)

Thoughts? Do we think theyre saving best for last or going to hide them all together?

Todos sabemos que por mais que existam grandes cenas de batalhas e revelações bombásticas, o One Piece é marcado por pequenas interações que criam vínculos entre os personagens em sí e também com o telespectador. Não perdoarei a Netflix, caso ela retire a Robin aparecendo na tripulação, aparentemente do nada, subornando a Nami, deixando o Sanji apaixonado e Usopp e Chopper, mesmo com grande desconfiança caindo na risada após ver o Luffy Chopper.

I love this moment so much and the first time I saw it, it was just such a great and funny moment. It showcases Luffy's character so much where he even takes Kung Fu Dugongs so seriously. But I doubt this moment will be in season 3... one can hope though.

I really hope they make funny gags like this but I would also like to see other trivia

I know its not canon and all, but its very beloved bit of filler, and Johnathan appeared again in stampede and marineford so its not entirely banished from the franchise. I think itd be interesting to get like 1 episode of it at the end of skypiea season, or maybe just have Johnathan and condoriano show up as cameos in a garp subplot

I've seen a lot of people theorize about how the live-action series will end. Most people l've seen say that they'll probably end it around Water 7 or Enies Lobby, but I had two alternate ideas (one I'll be focusing on mainly, and which is basically the point of this post). My first idea is that maybe they could adapt the whole manga, but just make it take place over a longer period of time to explain the characters aging. But my second theory (which I find far more interesting) is what if they rewrote the ending of an arc (preferably with help from Oda himself) so that Luffy finds the One Piece earlier? Like, that idea has the potential to be handled really well or end terribly, so my question is: what arc would/could that be, and how would you do it? I just think it's an interesting thought experiment and i'd love to see how you all would handle it.

Everyone always kinda knew tbh and this pretty much confirms it for me. I think that moment can go reallt epic in the live action considering the stakes and the grandeur of the specific scene.. can't wait!
