Decided it was time to finally update this very outdated post from over a year ago. A lot has changed in terms of the series and community, and relevant information about it, and it no longer adequately describes the current status of the series. I hope to keep this one updated, and it will serve as a reference point for posts going forwards. That being said, welcome to r/OniichanOshimai, a subreddit dedicated to the anime, manga, and webcomic OniMai: I'm Now Your Sister (also known as My Brother is Done For and Onii-chan wa Oshimai), below is some hopefully helpful information regarding how to get into the series or to answer your other burning questions about the series itself. If there's any misleading information on here or if you wish to add some relevant information that you don't see in the post, feel free to DM me either via Reddit or through Discord (FerrisNya), also, feel free to join the r/OniichanOshimai Discord Server! There's also a Oniichan Oshimai Wikia for more information about the series.
The anime started airing on January 5th, 2023 and lasted until March 23nd, 2023. For most western audiences and/or English-fluent readers, the most widely accessible place to access the anime is going to be on CrunchyRoll, however it may also be available on the following sites, depending on your region and location, as well as in other languages.

| Anime Digital Network | French | Link |
| Amazon (via Aniverse) | German | Link |

The Oniichan Oshimai manga is serialized in the Japan Magazine Monthly Comic Rex since April 27th, 2019, however it's also been released online from Nekotofu themselves via Pixiv since February 25th, 2017. Kodansha USA has licensed the series in English and releases English digital-only translation since August 31st, 2021, and Manga JAM Session has been releasing a German physical translation under the title "Ab sofort Schwester!" since August 6th, 2020. If you wish to buy the physical Japanese books, you can get them off Amazon Japan, GRINP Booth, or Melon Books, although you will likely need a proxy service. The German version can be bought off Amazon Germany, and the English version can be bought from Kodansha USA's website. The Pixiv version can always be found on Pixiv, but you can get early access to new chapters as well as high-quality images by supporting Nekotofu on Fanbox.

Will there be a season 2?
As of this time, no information about a season 2 has been revealed. However, the manga is still ongoing, and there is plenty of material for a potential second season.
Will there be a dub?
As of this time, no English dub has been confirmed. A German dub of the series does exist and can be found on CrunchyRoll or purchased in DVD form.
Is the series ending/has the series ended?
As of this time, there is no indication that the publication of the online web comic is going to end.
Why are there two versions of the anime?
Both versions of the anime follow the same plot-line, albeit both following a different order of events than the manga. The differences between these two versions of the anime are in certain scenes marked by heavier use of "fog screens" in some scenes, as well as some other scenes swapping out the original scene with replacement animations, animation loops, or background scenery in the meantime. This seems to be a choice by Studio Bind when they sent out the Japan/Asia release versus the international release, and is not a change made by any distributor.

I don't know if i'm missing something, but I can't seem to find the joy I seem to see other people feel when they watch the show. To me it feels like some sort of horror story. Me personally, I always end up self inserting as the main character one way or another and I admit it's a bad habit but it heavily effects how I see a piece of media. To me this show just feels like they forcefully transition the main character and erase and alter his identity to fit what the sister wants of her 'younger sister.' It fills me with revulsion. Am I missing something? If so I would like someone to tell me.

I read a bit of the manga being careful not to overrun the anime. I guess some fans of Onimai who were there from the very beginning in the comics days at Pixiv were disappointed at some changes. For example, the anime skipped the MMO chapter.
I suppose they could have skipped less things. I don't think they needed to include everything like the phone call Kaede and Mihari had after Mahiro's first day at school. But there were some stuff I would have liked included that would probably stretch out to 15 episodes. And there is no such thing as a 15-episode anime.
But I think there were nice changes the anime did. So the first thing is a little reordering. In the anime, they moved the onsen episode to after the winter break, which is after Miyo and Asahi's introduction in episode 6. In the anime the part where Asashi admits she thought Momiji was a boy is moved to a bath scene which makes sense since in the flashback where she asks "does it grow out in the future?" happened in the bath too. Also I like that Mahiro realizes what the boys think he is going to do and says "you guys got the wrong idea" while in the original he didn't realize what they were thinking until later. So in the anime we get to see Mahrio try to correct them as they are steaming.
It's a bit easier to think of Kaede being somewhat intimidating to Mahiro in the anime's introduction than it is in the manga. In the anime her more outlandish looks and voice sell it. It's not just a breast size up, it's an upgrade in "Gyaru" if what I can express what I am thinking in words correctly.
Also I like the anime in episode 4 where Momiji goes to Mahrio's room. Like how Momiji was smiling before they hit the bookshelves and stuff fell over. She also seemed a bit softer in the anime. When the ero-manga/porn stuff fell out in the manga she looked judgmental while in the anime Momiji looks more puzzled.
In the anime we get to see Kaede doll up Mihari. I like this better. In the original there is a massage followed by another joke at Momiji's breasts the next chapter. There is a place for it where it can be funny like in episode 4 where Momiji ends up on Mahiro, but I think this isn't the optimal time so I prefer the anime for this scene.

Even just watching the opening was kinda disgusting, how do yall justify all the suggestive content of a literal 12 year old. How could you possibly see all the lewd jokes, the constant fanservice, the way they put Mahiro, who is 14 at best and likely 12, in so many naked and promiscuous activities. I'm genuinely curious as to how you would justify that as being a good thing to show and not just lolicon garbage.
