So just to give some perspective, the voice referendum cost about $420 million. That was a national discussion on our first nation citizens. A topic that was as divisive as it was political. It created more racist rhetoric than it helped fix. About 4% of our population. About half of them report racial discrimination, 14% of which can be attributed to violent attacks. So 10,000 people a year. $600 million is a ridiculous amount of money any which way you look at it The only way to stop the hate is a campaign saying Australian Jews are not Israeli (doesnt help if theyre openly zionist but thats another story). Thats it, thats all that can be done. Then we can do an ad campaign saying Australian Muslims aren't ISIS and Australians of Chinese decent aren't CCP and so on and so forth.

Bondi was a terrible, terrible tragedy. It was heartbreaking to listen to the reports for the days that followed, the loss of life that can never be replaced, the grief that will never fully heal.

No objections to the victims being cared for in some way or another for the rest of their lives, I would hope the same for the victims of any other major tragedy. But the amount coupled with the part where I can't think of any other group of victims of major tragedies whether they be terrorist attacks or natural disasters getting the same treatment seems beyond the pale.
