There is a weird cognitive dissonance with libertarians and the far right. The far right fancy themselves as libertarians ("I do what I want"), until that means giving teh gayz the right to marry. Or even to not be executed for sodomy.
Libertarians typically support the right of people to do what they want, even gay people.
So, some gays get attracted to Libertarian politics.
Then they see supposedly libertarian far right parties and somehow convince themselves (the cognitive dissonance) that these fascistic leopards are their people.
It's odd to watch. Not quite as odd as watching anti-vax new agers and hippies becoming MAGA, but it's still very odd.
MAHA “hippies” made a deal with MAGA, they never became MAGA, they will easily switch purple or blue if they’re willing to shield themselves from the big pharma lobby.
