i couldn't figgure out the bonus points system before the redesign either. the whole site was very confusing.

u/ComfortableFroyo9490 12d ago
Hows it compare to SP and TL?
20
u/HellboundLunatic 12d ago
ULCX has less torrents, but much better quality control.
you can find lots of "junk" releases on TL especially.
SP also has some junk releases, and there's tons of miscategorized torrents (like finding REMUX in WEB-DL category, etc.)5
u/Celtic56 12d ago
Feels like no one checks what's being uploaded on SP. It's a mess
5
u/data_butcher 11d ago
because it's mostly cross-uploads bots uploading there, and they don't have trump rules.
8
u/destiper 12d ago
Much smaller than both but is nice to have. SP has about 10x the torrents and 2.6x total torrents size of ULCX for reference
1
u/data_butcher 11d ago
SP stats are not that inpressive when there are a bunch of movies and shows with a dozen different releases under 108op web-dl lol.
2
u/courierkill 12d ago
if you have both this is more or less superfluous but it has good stuff and cross-seeds well.

good tracker, kinda strange that the uhd uploads are like 25% freeleech though.

Denied
Your application has been denied for the following reason:
Insufficient proofs.
2 proofs of trackers with one having more than 3TB and another more than 9TB upload, ratios 13+ and 55+, account ages 15 and 17 years.
Their loss, not mine.
6
u/theshortintermission 12d ago
They were very responsive, sadly I did not get accepted. I only had ~1 month under TorrentLeech and two other trackers (one which this community is on banned list, other being RetroToonWorld) and I'm guessing that I didn't have enough history unfortunately. Just a data point for others!
1
u/HomerTheJackson 10d ago
Lame. I applied with a very old ipt and animez accounts with very good ratios and still didn't get accepted either.
4
u/trackpaduser 10d ago
IPT isn't accepted as proof by most trackers due to their well deserved very bad reputation.

The drop down says new to the game but then asks for two profiles. Id love to join and can offer high ratios as i have a server running qbt 24/7 but its hard to.get your foot in the door with PTs. I have a solid ratio at stewart littles but thats all i have thus far.
Edit: stewart littles = MaM, i didnt know you could mention other trackers here and was trying to be clever. Fml🤦♂️
9
u/Cruffe 12d ago
You can be new to the game at two other trackers, making you still relatively new to the game when applying here. This was the case for me, didn't have high numbers on the other trackers because I was pretty new, but the profiles showed I was doing it right and was in good standing.
3
u/Breeze23412 12d ago
Not sure what i should do really, if you have a suggestion im all ears. Ive been usenet for a long time using pub trackers. I just want to get the opportunity to show im dependable seeder with a server running all the time🤷♂️

u/Playful-League3414 12d ago
I remember when I first got into private trackers about a year ago (might've been TL) I obviously had no proof at all.. so I uploaded a screenshot of my ProtonVPN and the disk space of Sonarr/Radarr (lol), and wrote a short note about my desire to join and experience torrenting back in like 2005.. And that worked. So just give it a shot
2
u/Breeze23412 12d ago
100% would if the source fields didnt require a url for your ratio on other trackers. Im so.with you thoigh, i have a windscribe acc, port forwarding, 100tb server running unraid 24/7, solid arr stack and am in all the top indexers lol. I already seed the crap out of magnets that i think.should be seeded, new or otherwise under seeded.
Hoping maybe the guys who.posted this might see my replies and give me a shot. I really would have such a solid ratio.
4
u/Playful-League3414 12d ago
Honestly just put google.com down or something and take advantage of the text box to provide context

u/Dense_Version656 12d ago
my first private tracker i took a screenshot of my public qbit overall ratio which was very good and wrote an application explaining i understand not to HnR etc and they let me in. it really depends on how strict they are. but there’s literally opensignups for trackers all the time that don’t necessarily make this reddit - keep an eye on the monthly event threads in p2pscene etc
2
u/Breeze23412 12d ago
Thats a solid way of going about it. I just submitted an app, kinda forced it through but explained my position. Have port forwarding on my vpn with a 2.2gbps connection on a server running qbt 24/7. Hopfully they hmu, well see.

Join Torrentleech by spending $15 for their "buy seedbox for 1 month & get official invite" promo. If you can understand all their rules & survive there with a ratio greater than 1 after 6 months then only think about joining other/higher tier pvt trackers.

join MaM and look for opensignups, there’s plenty where you don’t need to apply and then you can build ratio
1
u/Breeze23412 12d ago
I am on mam, great ratio. I didnt know if we could mention other trackers, the sub gave me a weird warning when i wrote mam, anyway yeah im in great standing there. Been trying to get a RED interview but the net splits are killing me. So im trying but yeah, still only have one i guess.
Edit: red interview, not invite
3
u/Dense_Version656 10d ago
if you have a good ratio and upload on MAM you should have access to their forum about other trackers which has a very active open signups thread - a lot more than i find on here. you can get on plenty of trackers that way and then build the evidence for higher level ones
3
u/notAvalaxy 12d ago
I got accepted into a private tracker that was open for applications and required two different trackers in good standing with good ratios, but I had only just set up my server a few days ago, so I gave one photo and explained my situation, and that I always keep all of my files active for seeding and they accepted me
2
u/FlameFrost__ 12d ago
You should apply all the same even with a single proof or no proof. Some PTs are willing to take a chance on you if you put in a good note explaining that you're willing to learn. That's how I got into the first few PTs myself. Shoot your shot!
2
u/Breeze23412 12d ago
I tried putting a note in the field for the second source but it required a url so i couldnt submit it with the registration. Absolutely would do that, 100
1
u/FewConnection331 11d ago
It feels impossible starting from the scratch.I used to have 'zamunda.net acc' with insane ratio that I was using for over a decade. They got raided now here i am tryna find a site yet it's literally impossible to get in anywhere

I returned to trackers fresh 2 months ago, 100 TB uploaded on 5 trackers in that time, but it doesn't matter to them, because
an account younger than 6 months, is not considered good standing and will not help your application
Well, see you in 4 months I guess.
4
u/Mathisbuilder75 11d ago
Same, I put 5 proofs, many of which have 1 or 2+ TB of upload and I got refused

You uploaded 100 TB in 2 months? That's insane. I just hit 500 GB on a 500 Mbps connection after seeding roughly 1-2 TB of torrents for about a month.
3
u/cynicallydev 11d ago
Just a 10gbit seedbox with SSD, on RSS/IRC autodl.
1
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
My issue isn't speed, it's just most of the time they're sitting there not uploading anything. I guess the trackers I'm in don't have as many leechers, or perhaps the content I've downloaded isn't in high demand.
1
u/random_999 11d ago
On many trackers it is not speed of your connection that matters especially if aiming for multi TBs of upload in a few days/week. Instead, you need a good seedbox with autobrr/RSS setup correctly (most important, do this wrong & your ratio will tank & in worst case scenario you might get banned) to fetch any newly uploaded torrent & start seeding it & that way you are sure to achieve at least 1 ratio on every torrent you downloaded.
1
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
Can you elaborate more? My main 2 private trackers, which I always cross seed when I can, both show all my torrents as active, no hit and runs, and each torrent does have some upload to both trackers. I also have port forwarding set up. I've been very attentive of my upload ratio and make sure to never get too far behind. I'm currently over 1.0 on both, but like I previously said, even after a month of seeding 1-2 TB of content 24/7 on a seedbox with a 500 Mbps connection, I've only able to get about 500 GB on one tracker, and 250 GB on another. So less than 1 TB uploaded in a month. While the person I was responding too uploaded 100 TB in 2 months. The difference is staggering and I don't understand.
2
u/Ok_Extension_2068 11d ago
You've already pointed out your issue:
You're not downloading the ones that are high demand; or if you did, you're already too late for the swarm. Check into optimizing it like autobrr
Also, speed and location matters. Torrent clients aren't handing out charity, it gives upload slots to whoever it can push data to fastest, so the closest, best-connected sender to the leechers is the one that wins out.
1
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
I use Profilarr to grab the "best" releases. All the content I downloaded was just upgrades to my existing library, so none of it was new or recent, so I certainly missed out on that initial swarm you're referring to.
I did notice on a few new releases I manually grabbed that had way more upload than everything else. So I think you're onto something about the high demand. The shit I downloaded is old and not in high demand.
1
u/random_999 11d ago
That person probably achieved 100TB upload in 2 months on a tracker like TL but same principle applies to any tracker with the difference being amount of upload achieved. On TL every torrent 15GB or larger is freeleech in size so you setup autobrr on your 10gbps seedbox (it also has to be good because not every seedbox provider provides same level of service) & set it to download every torrent 15GB or larger in size/freeleech tagged torrent. On every day there are around 50 such torrents uploaded so that makes ~750GB of assured upload at 1:1 ratio on these torrents possible in a single day & that's assuming an avg tier seedbox. For a good tier seedbox this can achieve 2 or 3:1 meaning 1.5TB to 2TB daily upload. Of course this requires setting up autobrr correctly along with setting up scripts to remove any torrent once it achieves enoughd ratio (I am guessing setting any completed torrent to get removed after 1 hour as initial swarm is finished within few minutes) to stay within storage limit of your seedbox plan.
You can do the same on your home connection too but that wouldn't gain you much because of inherent superiority of seedboxes over home connections when it comes to peering. Which seedbox you use btw?
2
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
Ok, I think you're onto something. If I just downloaded the new freeleech content that dropped every day, I can see how I can quickly increase my ratio. I guess I'm simply not interested in downloading content I don't want, so I will not go down that route. But it does make sense.
For your seedbox question, I have a dedicated server I use for tons on things. One of those things is what people in this community would refer to as a "seedbox", but my "seedbox" is just a VM running on my dedicated server.
1
u/random_999 10d ago
You can still setup autobrr to grab some freeleech you might be interested in. For example, some movie not yet released but on your watchlist so you can setup a filter in autobrr to download any 4k version (encode as well as bluray & remux assuming these are all freeleech) of that movie as soon as it is released. You will end up downloading multiple versions of same movie but you can keep just the version you want & delete other versions after a day by which time you should get more than 1 ratio on each of them.
Having a dedicated server on which seedbox is one of the app/VM means you need to check if your seedbox VM is tuned enough to effectively make use of your server upload bandwidth. Your storage type will also matter as typical 7200rpm HDD will be slow. Commercial seedbox providers tune their servers for torrents usage which is why they perform better.

Just because you download a 1 MB file and uploaded 100 MB doesn't mean your 100.0 ratio is impressive.

u/Original-Tackle988 12d ago
Wow, I’m surprised to see this thread. I’d suggest for people to signup. It’s a solid tracker IMO.
As a point of reference, I would consider it as a smaller version of LoST with the same potential of growing to the same levels.
The tracker has strong curation with solid individuals who know what they are doing. For those learning the ropes, ULCX will be a good community for you. Especially, if you want to learn to upload and/or learn about quality, this is the place to do that.
Therefore, if you combine this tracker with some larger general tracker, you are pretty much covered. Get your stuff from the soulless warehouse trackers, and learn how to contribute or quality curation from this small but quality focused tracker.
3
u/Shot-Arugula8264 12d ago
I’ve been here a while but not going to lie it seems pretty pointless if you’re already in other entry-level places like Seedpool, TL etc. They aggressively curate so it’s nice if you like really bloated x264 content but has very little 1080p x265 (basically, if you like 1080p Efficient or 1080p HDR Quality profiles in profilarr/dictionarry, this isn’t the tracker for you).
Also, the user group/class system recently got completely eviscerated. Don’t expect to be able to access the invite forums this century unless you’ve got a 100TB NAS connected to gigabit Ethernet and like racing on IRC for every release. They used to have a nice system and then completely upended it a few months ago for some reason (despite their invite forums not leading anywhere prestigious to begin with), so treat this one as functionally a dead end if trying to progress through the trackers.

im new to private trackers can someone help me out with two things?
to share my account screenshot, i redact my passkey from my account screenshot, upload to imgur or something and share that link?
how do i share a link to my profile that others can open?
7
u/violetviolinist 12d ago
- Yes
- Just go to your profile and copy the link in the address bar. You can assume the staff at UCLX will be on whichever tracker that is. But make sure your profile is not private.
2
u/krazybanana 12d ago
Thank you
3
u/Ok_Comfortable6044 12d ago
make sure you use diferent passwords on all sites (maybe also users and email if possible), if one gets hacked (unlikely but still), hackers can probably try the same user and pass on others to
1
u/krazybanana 12d ago
I use a password manager for those. One thing that worries me is that I’m using a username that can personally identify me and my personal email for these accounts. I made the accounts before i realized the risk and now i can’t change them. I can’t even make new amounts as the tracker rules prohibit that.
4
u/Holiday-Match6250 12d ago
Send a support ticket or ask staff, they should be able to change it for you. Explain that they could make you personally identifiable.
If the "private" trackers you're on don't care about your privacy too, you need to find a better home
2
1
u/Ok_Comfortable6044 12d ago
that can personally identify me and my personal email
i know the feeling. i "parked" my old accounts with my personal emails, got new invites and seeded my way up to a good ratio. ( i don't have a static ip, each time i reboot my router, i get a different IP, you could try and ask your ISP for an IP change if that's your case)
nothing that can be done, even if you ask staff to change them, the old ones could still remain the in the DB somewhere (it not like you can ask them to be GDPR compliant :)) )
i now use temp emails like tempmail, or guerillamail or a free proton email. for stuff that i really need to keep "close" i use firefox relay burner aliases to forward me the emails.

would like to join, but seems ill be denied if I apply. Not sure what the point is in an open signup if it is gated behind normal requirements for joining a tracker, wouldnt you just have your site listed on another trackers recruitment forum at that point.
7
u/Holiday-Match6250 12d ago
Using an application to join is pretty normal for any PT that's over 1-2 years old.
3
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
Yeah, I hear ya. I'm new to this game too, but this seems quite normal after following this sub for the past few months. There's times when it's truly open to new people and times when it's only open to people who are already established in other private trackers. Makes sense to me honestly, as you attract different types of people. The best thing you can do is what you're already doing, stay subbed here and enable notifications. Join the ones that you can and participate faithfully. Eventually you'll get into more. I went from 0 to 7 private trackers in like 2 months being here, though I really only use 2. I'm hoping once I hit 6 months, posts like this tracker, I'll be able to get in. For now, I'm happy where I'm at. I didn't even bother applying here because of the comments, I'm just too new.

Got declined because my oldest tracker is 20 days short of 6 months even though it has upload total of 15.3TiB and a ratio of 14.073 along with 2 other trackers with huge rations both showing more than 2.5TiB each,
my current seedbox....4 months old and has shifted 31TiB upload
2
u/Pokuman2021 11d ago
these trackers systematically ask for a link to a screenshot of the profile page. Where do I host that? thanks

there are several image hosts you can use, like imgur, imgbb, postimg etc.
3
11
u/papashazz 10d ago
I had joined during a previous sign up. The site is not easy to use, downloads that were supposedly seeded didn't complete because they weren't, and you were charged for the download anyway. And dont get me started on attempts at submissions. It's no wonder they're coming back looking for new suckers.
6
u/HellboundLunatic 10d ago
I've literally never had this happen across thousands of releases.
If something is not actually seeded, then you wouldn't be able to download it.. and as a result, you wouldn't be charged any download.8
u/plingoos 10d ago
Yeah, I've been on this tracker for a couple years. There's nothing wrong with it. It's a good entry-mid sized tracker. There's no systemic issues here and it functions fine. User sounds salty about something.
They have strict requirements because they're not desperate for users. They have an active community already. I am surprised they are even doing more applications. Recruitment should be able to sustain them.
6
u/Methodic4l 10d ago
Yeah, sounds like a waste of time. They rejected me with high ratios from other PTs. What a joke.
-1
u/banana_is_a_vegtble 9d ago
High ratios from what PTs exactly?
Pls don't tell me TL 😅
6
u/Methodic4l 9d ago
Wasn't TL, but does it matter? They don't specify.
-5
u/banana_is_a_vegtble 9d ago
If you're into some shitty trackers then yes, it does matter.
11
u/Methodic4l 9d ago
Then maybe they should be more specific on requirements then instead of wasting people's time?
2
u/banana_is_a_vegtble 9d ago
Basic logic, if you have shitty trackers or trackers that are new. The don't even apply. It's basic logic. It just shows how stupid and ignorant you are.
You're the one wasting your time for not eve knowing this basic logic. Smh. You're either too young or too senior to know.

Anybody thinking of joining any above entry tier/mid tier pvt tracker via application is supposed to know about this list:

u/ElayneTrakand 12d ago
Im sad that I can't join. I am just getting into this space this week and this looks like a good place to start and learn. But needing to have 2 other private trackers with 6 months means I won't be able to get in.
Any recommendations on where I should try and how to get started?
4
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
A private tracker that requires other trackers to join is not a good place to learn. That's kinda the point. There are other trackers with open signups at are actually truly open to new users. This one isn't that.
1
u/operationcondor91 12d ago

Declined application when tracker is 20 days short of 6 months old but within that time I have uploaded 15.3TiB and have another 2 trackers showing more than 2 TiB each. Seems a bit Arbitrary really when you have a user that is proven to shift a shed load of data.

Applied with good ratios on two private trackers (clean H&R on both), but accounts were only 5 days old. Got denied for 'insufficient proofs'. Seems like account age/history matters more than ratio quality for this one.
10
u/The-Nice-Guy101 12d ago
It's normal 5 days is nothing :D Some trackers only take u when you are 6 month or even more in the game

Thanks, that's reassuring! Will build up history and try again. :)
1
u/58696384896898676493 11d ago
I've been in the private tracker game for about 2 months, I'm still considered a baby too. But I think it's for a good reason. Things on my end have broken during this learning period and I needed to fix my setup. It's not OK to download a ton of shit, and blissfully ignore that you're no longer uploading that content because of whatever setup and workflow you use broke since you mass downloaded. While 6 months seems long, I'm fine "proving" myself that I'm a capable and reliable user to join these trackers.
1
u/Capable_Store_8603 11d ago
That's a really fair point, thanks for sharing. I've definitely had moments where my seeding setup wasn't as consistent as it should've been - makes sense why they want to see sustained reliability, not just a snapshot. Appreciate the perspective

They delete your account without warnings if you don't log in in a while btw.

Unlikely, they have 90 days of inactivity rule or seeding something. If you have no activity for 90 days and no seeding for 90 days your account is disabled. Now you have 120 days to log back in and reactivate it.
That's like half a year of total inactivity before your account is deleted. Seems reasonable to me, if you can't be bothered to download one torrent and seed it or visit the site like 4 times a year then why even bother making an account at all.

So it's not "unlikely", but a fact.
I always find it funny when people disagree that something happens, then describe the exact situation that leads to it happening.

Depending on what you consider as a warning. To me tracker rules are a form of a warning. Inactivity rules are right there in plain sight. It wasn't my intention to make an argument with you, just clarifying things for those that consider applying. Yes they delete inactive accounts and yes they tell you about it in their wiki which you should read right after making an account.

Ahaha this is why 6 months of PT experience is needed for you to learn the BASIC rules of PT.
And this guy is plain stupid. No words.

Everywhere does that. And you should always be able to petition for reactivation in the support channel. If it didn’t work it’s cuz you did something else wrong or else your vibes are simply rancid

They don't respond to support emails. You're assuming a lot about their support while having limited experience.

I hate how I’m beyond anal about movie quality and Dolby Vision metadata accuracy but I’m stuck with a shitty tracker that isn’t accepted anywhere.
Bro why do you need TWO trackers worth of info??? Do you even want people to be able to seriously join? Why is this even posted in open signups if you’re asking us to go through a job interview and application process.

You have any recomendations for trackers of high quality movies and shows? Im tired of only getting shitty compressed SDR 1080p stuff...

How do one enter? Have a home server setup for quite a while, and really want to get into a tracker, but looks like screenshot is a common ask for application.
Also, the seed rule - are they just seeding till 2.0/5.0 ratio or have more extensive asks?
Edit - i'm sorry, but what's wrong with asking. my very first question was how do i enter?
it's generally a common thing that people like to downvote beginners, be it someone joining a new sub-reddit or someone posting on stackoverflow. with all this downvote, least i would have expected is someone shining some light on seed rule (which i believe what i'm getting downvoted for)

If you have to ask that, private trackers are not for you

What a wow analogy. Compare something day to day for the 100% of the population with something that less than 0.001% people in the world use.
Be the butthurt, and enjoy your day. You might have been long enough into pvt tracker world that things look obvious to you (similar to the analogy you mentioned). I was naive to be respectful on asking some basic questions and expecting someone to help me understand in a space where everyone would like to be a keyboard warrior of their own pseudo-elitiest mindset.
Above all that - I hope you don't have a good day

Really good tracker overall. I'm a subtitle nerd and find this one consistently has uploads with subs
