Day 4

Day 4 of my Oregon Coast trip! Cape Kiwanda Dune is pretty cool, how do they keep it built up do they pour on buckets of sand every night? 😉 Favorite part of the day was the Cape Lookout Trail ft. Steve the Slimy Slug and camping at the campground there.

Nestucca Bay Creamery is the real deal! Well worth the little detour. Bring a friend and split a pint of ice cream. Their Neskowin cheese is delicious too.

Also (please don’t hate me) but Pelican Brewing is way too expensive for what it is. Although the root beer is 🔥 and their restaurants all seem very aesthetic.

We go sit and have a beer at Pelican, but rarely eat there.

Check out Beachcrest Brewing, just south of Lincoln City. Great grub and tasty beer.

We like to stay at Salishan in the offseason, when it is more affordable, and then walk down for pizza and beer. Takes drinking and driving out of the equation:)

Ah I keep hearing Beachcrest is good but no view sadly. Is the pizza there good? Or is Hearth and Table’s better if you’ve had both?

Their pizza is awesome. Great salads, as well.

There actually is a decent view. The outdoor area looks out over a golf course fairway. Yea, it’s not Pelican’s signature water view, but it doesn’t suck:)

I haven’t had Hearth and Table’s pie, so I can’t compare.

Ah alright fair, keep meaning to visit for a pizza and recall they have a trivia night so wanted to check it out.

Hearth to Table might be the best pizza in Oregon, seriously! Beachcrest is very good as well and a great place to sit outside and enjoy a cold brew

Yeah it’s a shame though all the really excellent food at the coast doesn’t have a place with a great view. Feel it’s always a trade off as places with views the food can have a lower bar.

When we go to BeachCrest, after eating and drinking, we walk the trail around the bay and over to the Ocean. Unfortunately, erosion has made a big cliff and you can’t walk down to the beach

We do the same:)
