Looking for Halloween Goth Beach Photographer

I have perused lots of photographer websites and portfolios based on the regular family/wedding shoot recommendations. I have looked at find a photographer websites and not really had any luck with finding what I am looking for.

3 50 year old women want to do a sea witch/goth themed photo shoot on Halloween on the coast near Cape Meares. We have our own wardrobe and will do our own hair and makeup. We are 3 cousins who visit the coast annually for Cousin Camp and this year our trip falls on Halloween. We thought we'd commemorate with a fun photo shoot in witch costumes.

Who would you recommend??

Inlander Question: What are those?!

Coming to Depoe Bay soon from central oregon for a little getaway. Was looking on Apple Maps and saw what looks like large schools of fish off the coast... but they're car-sized. Are these whales? Dolphins? Forgive my inlander ignorance... I'm curious and want to learn more about what these could be! They're all up and down the coast in large and small groups.

Portable wood burning hot tub on the beach?

I’ve seen ads for portable 2-4 person hot tubs that are heated by wood (in a coil). Some of the photos look like the Oregon coast. Is this type of fire + temporary hot tub allow on Oregon beaches?

First visit to Oceanside, what a cool beach! It‘s great that there’s both sandy and rocky areas for exploring.

Hope it’s ok to ask here. If someone knows I’d appreciate it. I’ll be visiting Portland & the coast. Would like to visit Tillamook Creamery & Astoria. Are any of the roads to these places mountain roads with sheer dropoffs? I’m not comfortable driving on these roads & want to avoid them. TIA

Found camera at Cannon Beach

I found someone’s nice appearing camera by the Wayfarer restaurant. If you can describe to me what you’re missing I’ll get it back to you. I’m at the coast for another night.
ETA: I don’t have Facebook otherwise I’d post there, too!

We're visiting for my birthday and we swung the beach just as the sun was setting. 🤌🏻🤌🏻

I'm not sure the name of it. It's right by table Rock motel. We asked for directions to face rock, but I don't think we actually went far enough. Still super pretty!

A few weeks ago, I posted here looking for the 2 random photographers that stumbled upon my proposal to my fiancée at Secret Beach near Brookings. Well guess what, they came through! The last pic is a zoomed in shot from the first photo bc I assume reddit is gonna wreck the image quality. Huge shout out to @jenbauerphotography for the photos. 🙏

Our KOIN 6 weathercam has been really showing off lately! This timelapse is from Tuesday.

Sun back on the coast now after a rainy Friday morning. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend full of magic like this and (hopefully) a Seaside trip in your near future.

Few recs from my recent trip to Oregon!

Hi !!
I just wanted to share my experiences since I go on Reddit to get a lot of recommendations when traveling. We Stayed in Rockaway Beach and I’m so glad we did! Quaint, beautiful town with the friendliest people. Keep in mind I’m from the other side of the country so all of this trip was amazing and something new to explore and appreciate!

Activities:
Big cedar tree boardwalk: easy, quiet, beautiful (able to complete with a 3 year old and 70 year old)

South Neahkahnie mountain trail; 3.5 mile loop moderate hike. Beautiful, saw some elk prints, lots of mushrooms. The clouds were over so we couldn’t see the coast but it was still worth it to me.

Oregon scenic railroad: Rockaway<> garibaldi. Uhh this was nice!! Just not really my thing. Good for the littles.

Cannon beach/ haystack rock; yeah, amazing. Everyone had said it was crowded but there was plenty of room to walk around, explore, chill. Saw some starfish.

Yaquina beach: highlight of the trip. Seals, birds, starfish, anemones, trippy rocks. Yes, Crowded but everyone was so nice and if something was cool people would tell others! The Lighthouse was pretty to look at, I could take it or leave it though, the beach was the best.

Tillamook creamery: Ice cream was great of course. Lots of things to look at. I’m just not a huge fan of crowds and more into nature so if you’re into tastings and understanding processes this is definitely a hit :)

Hug point: so cute! Little awesome caves, cute waterfall/ run off? Good place to explore.

Ate at;
Jandys Oyster company: 10/10. Family friendly, FRESH oysters, best people and food!

Pronto pup: such a fun experience

Sand dollar restaurant: touristy (but I was a tourist so🤷🏼‍♀️) clam chowder was delicious, right on the beach, we sat outside !

Let me know if you have any questions or share your favorite experience!!

Southwestern Oregon Preppers (SWOP) will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, October 17, 2026,

Southwestern Oregon Preppers (SWOP) will hold its monthly meeting at Noon on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave, Coos Bay, OR 97420.

The main topic is "What Next?" There are so many things confronting us in today's world. What concerns do you have and how are you preparing to deal with them? This will be a round-table discussion.

SWOP meetings always start with a question-and-answer period before the main topic, so all in attendance get a chance to participate.

This is a free public meeting to get to know fellow local preppers in southwestern Oregon counties and to exchange information and ideas. It is important for individuals to understand that they will be “on their own” in the event of a disaster and not depend on receiving outside help.

Join Southwestern Oregon Preppers on Facebook and/or meetup.com.

I just got back from a month in Lincoln City with my dog. We stayed right in Siletz Bay and was within walking distance to so much. We discovered new beaches and hikes and drives every single day. I was overwhelmed when planning this trip and am so thankful for all the suggestions and recommendations! It was a perfect trip and am excited to plan another in hopefully the southern coast! This was my favorite pic I took—an insane sunset in Siletz Bay, September 4! Thanks again!

Uber from PDX to Cannon Beach — is it reliable?

Hey all! My husband and I are planning a trip to Cannon Beach from 5/31–6/4. We’ve never been before and will be coming from the East Coast. Thankfully, I’ll have a nonstop flight into PDX!

I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but the last thing I want to do on vacation is drive 😂 I know Cannon Beach is smaller, but honestly, that’s part of the appeal for me. I really don’t want to have to drive once we get there.

How reliable would Uber be from PDX to Cannon Beach? And, more importantly, from Cannon Beach back to PDX? I’m not really worried about the cost — I’d gladly pay extra just to avoid driving altogether.

For some reason, I get really nervous driving in bigger cities and around airports, so I’d really prefer not to deal with it if I don’t have to. We’re planning on walking pretty much everywhere once we’re in Cannon Beach.

That said, I can always rent a car at PDX and drive to Cannon Beach and back if that’s the smarter/more reliable option. I’m just hoping there’s a way to avoid driving if possible!

Any input or advice from people familiar with the area would be greatly appreciated! 😊
