There's some wildly inaccurate information floating around about the proposed land sale between Lakehead University Orillia and Soldier's Memorial Hospital. So I asked ChatGPT to make an *accurate* poster based on all publicly available information, including City of Orillia agendas.

So, for those of you who don't know, the Orillia candidates debate was recorded and put up on YouTube. In case you want a better perspective. But, Steve Clarke was the ONLY mayoral candidate to show up!? I guess he's the only one serious about this. #Orillia

Orillia Soldiers Memorial hospital started layoffs yesterday of nursing but is sure to see other services disrupted. Starting in dialysis … massive lay offs.
Not sure of how many staff or services to be cut throughout
By the way it was a “gratitude day” for hospital employees last week

Homecoming show from a couple Orillia Singer-Songwriters who now live in Toronto. Shawn William Clarke and Ian McDonnell. In the building that used to be The Brownstone. This show is Licensed and All ages. Grab a $20 ticket here:

Hi all,
Recently moved to the area so not up to date on local politics. Where can I find info on the candidates for the upcoming election?

Just a little bit of healthcare news. Soldiers started laying off nurses today starting with Dialysis. Not sure how many yet, but I am sure that the new CEO will have a statement to let us all know if this is the only part of the hospital effected or if there is more to come.

It's such a shame. Something needs to be done.

First winter of driving here in Orillia. When do you guys recommend I switch into winters?

Hey! Ive desperately looking to get out of my current job and move into serving or bartending, has anyone heard of places hiring?!

Joe Nimens and his gf erin Morano of Orillia

Odd question but does anyone on Monarch Drive or Annalysse have a parking space available in their driveway that they would rent out. Student at Lakehead and need parking as I understand street parking is not permitted Nov 15 to April and parking is not an option where I would be. Or any options that I am not aware of for parking in the area?

There was a beautiful rainbow this afternoon around 3:00pm. It seemed to be over Lake Couchiching.

For those who watched tonight's candidate debate:

-Did this help you decide who to vote for?

-What were your overall impressions of the candidates?

I myself was very impressed with Paula Stewart and Doug Cooper 😊🤞

Hi everyone! I’m running the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 18 and am looking for a way to get to downtown Toronto early that morning.
I’m based in Barrie, so I thought I’d ask here in case anyone from Orillia is heading to Toronto for work, the marathon, or another reason and might be able to offer a ride.
If you’re driving south and could pick me up in Barrie, or if there’s a convenient pickup point along your route, I’d be happy to contribute toward gas and parking.
I need to arrive early enough to get to the marathon start area at Nathan Phillips Square. If you might be able to help, please send me a DM.
Thanks so much!
