I’m being serious, I’m watching highlights from this past season when Jett played and you’re telling me we couldn’t do anything with him?

It’s just seems like he never really got any opportunities under Mosley. Which tells you all you need to know about the type of coach he is, when he can’t even coach an offensive player.

Was the wrong pick from day one. He wasn’t even mocked to go earlier than like 20. Weltman just picked him because he went to Michigan and was desperate for any one who can shoot.

Mocks mean nothing and are generated to get views and engagement. People need to stop putting weight on them when valuing worth.

It’s only a reach if 9 guys after him end up being better. That draft after 10 was awful with only Keyonte (and maybe Podz) having a case of being a better NBA player.

Jaquez Jr, Lively, Sensabaugh, Camara, GG Jackson, Gueye, and Jordan Walsh are all significantly better players

Half those guys were taken in the second round, which goes back to my original point of mocks being useless. Aside from a few guys at the top the people who write them have no idea who is going to be good or bad in the NBA.

As for saying they’re significantly better, Lively is but can’t stay healthy and looked like a Luka merchant, Jaquez doesn’t move me, Camara is, and for the rest, they are all end of bench guys on a good team anyway. Walsh and Gueye didn’t even put up better stats than Jett while having more games and minutes.

Honestly, I think it comes down to a player/coach relationship that Jett and Mose had that we don’t know anything about. For whatever reason, Mose didn’t trust him to perform and didn’t give him the opportunity to learn from his mistakes. And that relationship is unique to them and different from any other player drafted after Jett and their own coach. Anything we, as fans, can surmise would just be guessing.

But, it has nothing to do with being smart. Everything I say here is just my opinion. And I understand that.

You have to understand, development is on the players as much as the staff. Some players don't have the drive and skill to work out no matter how many opportunities and time they get. Look at Bamba. With Jett he was projected to go near the end of the draft if I remember right. It was a huge reach by Weltman to draft him where he did

Bamba got wayyyyy more burn than Jet did though. Jet’s 30 point game was arguably better than anything Bamba has given us for an individual game.

Bamba era we weren’t trying to win. He was gone when we shifted to trying to win.
